should be able to afford a two bedroom apartment, ANYWHERE in the United States.

Five minutes of research led to this.

The going rate for a ONE bedroom aprartment in San Francisco Ca. appears to be about $3600.00 per month
($43,200.00 per year).

Add that second bedroom and costs increase, let's say $4,000.00 per month for a small two bedroom
($48,000 per year):

Using the maximum recommedation of 50%, this would indicate an yearly income of $96,000.00,
after payroll deductions.

Gross income requirement, $120,000.00+ per year, or $60.00+ per hour!

Elizabeth Warren hasn't got a clue how the country works or how the people live. She should keep her ever running mouth shut so that she could look a little more intelligent but she's not smart enough to even do that.

I can't help but wonder how many of Sen. Warrens staff receive her idea of a "living wage"?

Her personal driver, her bodyguards, her maid, her gardener, her pool cleaner?

And will all of those retired folks receive that pay raise? For anyone living on SS that would be a huge raise and the government would be broke in a year or so.

Actually, Warren is a good example of why we should NOT have a minimum wage, welfare, etc. Her father died when she was young and her mother raised her. If her mother had been on welfare it could have been the start of a multi-generational trend. Not all people who start out poor or disadvantaged remain so. Not all people born into money remain so. Some hard work lifted her family out of poverty. This is what we should expect from everyone. Quit crying about the circumstances of your birth. Immigrants come to this country to better themselves. Natural born citizens can do the same.

More lIike $20.00 without fries. Sorry I can't treat you to one of those, but that is about half of my grocery bill for a week.

Sounds like you might be happier living under communism.
When Roosevelt signed the minimum wage bill he said any company that couldn't pay their employees a living wage had no place in America.
