Sen. Warren pushes for $60.00 per hour minimum wage?
Sen. Warren, aka Pocohontas, declared that anyone working 40 hours per week in the United States,
should be able to afford a two bedroom apartment, ANYWHERE in the United States.
Five minutes of research led to this.
Household budgeting plans vary widely; housing as a percentage of income recommendations vary from
25% to 50% of household income for housing costs.
The going rate for a ONE bedroom aprartment in San Francisco Ca. appears to be about $3600.00 per month
($43,200.00 per year).
Add that second bedroom and costs increase, let's say $4,000.00 per month for a small two bedroom
($48,000 per year):
Using the maximum recommedation of 50%, this would indicate an yearly income of $96,000.00,
after payroll deductions.
Gross income requirement, $120,000.00+ per year, or $60.00+ per hour!
The going rate for a ONE bedroom apartment in Wichita, Kansas is about $470.00 per month ($5,640.00 per year).
If you live in Kansas, do you get to pocket the extra $40,000.00 per year, that you don't have to pay in rent?

Elizabeth Warren hasn't got a clue how the country works or how the people live. She should keep her ever running mouth shut so that she could look a little more intelligent but she's not smart enough to even do that.

Hmmm...Let's see here. I'm no expert, but I believe that would likely raise the cost of a McDouble to something like ten dollars.

I can't help but wonder how many of Sen. Warrens staff receive her idea of a "living wage"?
Her personal driver, her bodyguards, her maid, her gardener, her pool cleaner?
And will all of those retired folks receive that pay raise? For anyone living on SS that would be a huge raise and the government would be broke in a year or so.

Actually, Warren is a good example of why we should NOT have a minimum wage, welfare, etc. Her father died when she was young and her mother raised her. If her mother had been on welfare it could have been the start of a multi-generational trend. Not all people who start out poor or disadvantaged remain so. Not all people born into money remain so. Some hard work lifted her family out of poverty. This is what we should expect from everyone. Quit crying about the circumstances of your birth. Immigrants come to this country to better themselves. Natural born citizens can do the same.
no, you don't get to pocket it you just make less than what they would make in other cities
The proposal was for a NATIONAL minimum wage, no one would make less!

More lIike $20.00 without fries. Sorry I can't treat you to one of those, but that is about half of my grocery bill for a week.
Sounds like you might be happier living under communism.
When Roosevelt signed the minimum wage bill he said any company that couldn't pay their employees a living wage had no place in America.

Gee, that's a great question.
Maybe someone should let Kathy Griffin know there may be an opening on the lying, fauxcahontus staff? Imagine the 'bennies', eh?

sshhh!! One of the reasons she claims to be indian, she thinks we can't count!! Please do not attempt to confuse one of our senators with FACTS!! They think money iss the answer to everything. All they have to do is spend it. If you can do that you are qualified to be elected. If you can find new ways to spend funds they probably will make you a leader of that party. see, politics is not hard!!
