I have lived thru several extended wars in my 74 years and still cannot answer these questions.
With the unequaled mite of the US military why do we allow to be involved with these situations?
I see many military decisions being made with politicians, only concerned about getting reelected, making these decisions affecting thousand of American lives and by extension their families and loved ones.
Why are we fighting these wars with "boots on the ground" when we have weapons to destroy the enemy with one bomb. Not talking about nuclear, but bombs like the MOAB President Trump found that had been setting idled for 14 years and never deployed.
Why are we concerned about "collateral damage" when their own leaders live in unbridled luxury while his "subjects" eat grass for food like N. Korea. Why have we gotten thousands of American lives destroyed in Afghanistan, Irag and etc when one good flyover would end all of these that nut jobs.
Why are college graduates walking out of Vice President Pence speech in Notre Dame because it made them feel unsafe. You want to talk about "unsafe" ask the American troops who scaled the walls in France who were about your age, to end the reign of the worst despot the world has ever known. I guess they did not think about feeling "unsafe".
Like our slogan in Texas..DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS" if we did a few real reactions like this the despots and nut jobs would think long and hard before they played their silly little games to extort money or leverage from hard working Americans.
The congress should all be forced to wear jump suits with their sponsors badges attached like NASCAR drivers.
Face it: The world does not want democracy because they have no idea what it is.

Air power has never won a conflict. You need boots on the ground. It's always been that way. Always will be. Planes cannot take over and hold territory. You need troops for that.

What might be cheaper and faster would be to stop bombing and bring our troops home. We have no business their let them sort it out. War is about money nothing else

I spent 22 1/2 years in the Air Force. Certainly not an expert, but I agree with you. I am almost 60 years old and we just do NOT fight wars to win them. I would not encourage my kids or anyone I know to join the military. I say we close All bases overseas, move the troops to our borders, build bases along the border, deport Every illegal alien in this country. Every damn one of them. The real,threat to this country is from the politicians. Every damn DemonRAT, and about 90% of the RepubliCANTs are traitors to this country. Obunghole did more to destroy this country than any so called enemy from a foreign country ever did. I personally believe we are so close to collapsing from a lack of Moral values, it is happening at a super sonic speed. No shame anymore, homosexuality is almost the norm, The Lord and his Son, Jesus Christ are almost a footnote now. Crime is out of control, no respect for the unborn, no respect for the living.
