WHO RULES AMERICA? A BREAKDOWN OF WEALTH IN THE U.S. HOUSE AND SENATE

May 3, 2017 by Jerry Robinson

Politicians are sent to Washington with a mandate to promote the will of the people. However, America’s politicians often end up serving the wishes of their corporate masters, as well as other special interest groups.

I received this info graphic below in an email earlier yesterday afternoon [sic] and found it interesting enough to share. The image graphically displays how financial wealth is currently distributed throughout the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. (Source: http://www2.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/power/wealth.html)

As you can see, those whom the American people have elected into office are often among the “upper crust” of society.

Who Rules America? A Breakdown of the Wealth in the U.S. House and Senate

And while many politicians enter public office with large bank accounts, few realize how many of our nation’s leaders leverage their political positions to dramatically increase their wealth.

Now, as a student of Austrian economics and as a firm believer in the free markets, I am not opposed at all to leveraging one’s talents and abilities to increase wealth.

However, when public office is specifically used for private gain, we have a problem.

After all, politicians are sent to Washington with a mandate to promote the will of the people. However, America’s politicians often end up serving the wishes of their corporate masters, as well as other special interest groups.

Here’s a few hard facts on the matter…

1. Talk about the 1%. Over half of the members of Congress, who are sent to Washington on the behalf of the common man, are millionaires.

2. Legal Insider Trading? There is currently no accountability or oversight to prohibit members of the U.S. Congress from profiting in the financial markets based upon the inside information they obtain in the course of their daily work. (The news program, 60 Minutes, recently blew the lid off of the Congressional insider trading scandal. Watch here.)

I do not favor new laws on this matter. Why create new laws when existing laws already specifically define and outline the illegality of insider trading. All Congressmen should be expected to abide by the same insider trading laws that already exist and that apply to all Americans. Why should they, of all people, be exempt?

3. Federal Employees Everywhere. As of 2010, over 80,000 federal workers held jobs that earned $150,000 or more a year. That number has soared tenfold in the past five years and has doubled since President Obama took office, according to USA Today.

I have had enough of the Federal government’s overreach into our wallets and into our personal lives.

The failed Keynesian economic policies — and the welfare state that it has helped create — coupled with the warfare state that has resulted from the failed foreign policy disasters promoted by the neoconservatives has driven America to utter bankruptcy.

As the bombs drop and the government handouts continue, our financially corrupt political leaders continue to sell this nation out to the highest corporate bidders. Meanwhile, excessive power in the Executive branch continues to create a national police state as the fraudulent Federal Reserve system keeps the American Titanic afloat as our nation’s lender of last resort.

Its time to end the Federal Reserve which props up the current warfare state and return to a sound monetary system.

Its time to stop the American police state in its tracks.

Its time to end the broken welfare state that creates needless dependency on the Federal government.

Its time to get the corrupt Federal government out of our wallets, our bedrooms, and our educational system and return to the states their rightful sovereignty.

Its time for a real revolution.

well I knew they were cutting our throats but how do you bring them to their knees and or fire them or make them do their jobs. At the rate both sides are obstructing the president they might as well go home because they are not doing anything but acting like a bunch of kids having a tantrum

We will Occupy Washington and remove them as the Constitution allows us to do this.

Trump is the last chance ...

2018 is the last chance to remove all incumbents by vote... but I know that won't work either...

Do you have another solution ?

We are now in the Month of May 2017 ...

how many more years of wreckage and thievery can you take ?

Not many at the rate these riots are going I do see a possible collision course with main stream America that elected trump . I think everyone is tired of the bs even I have gone and gotten a license for gun which I have never felt the need for. And a urgency to get off my butt and go buy one. I really hate that I don't feel safe in my own country any more.

we are in serious trouble and Flanked on many sides by multiple issues.

Noted many of us are like that now... things continue to escalate.

Take the time to go to the safety course for firearms and then go to the basic shooting classes at the range.

You will become much more comfortable, feel confident and at ease.

Have always depended on my dogs to defend me and home. But now the threat is out and away from home and the dogs I have right now will defend me from the cat next door and the squirrels not so much anything else.

How is Trump our last chance? In case you hadn't noticed Trump is the wealthiest person that we have ever elected to office. If electing wealthy people is bad what was the idea behind electing Trump? My suggestion is that we elect people with the intellectual integrity to serve common good and not worry about how much they are worth.

Just that he is a business man and if the turn coat dems and republicans would do something beside throw tantrums till they get their way and obstruct moving forward with his promises he might keep this country from going broke. He isnt in it for the money and none of the people he pulled in are.

It's coming, my friend. Don't expect any action from our 'friends' in government, but the fiat central banking dollar experiment is coming to an end all by itself. The financial markets are in one gigantic bubble and it just keeps getting bigger, mostly financed by near-zero interest rates set by the Federal Reserve System. When it pops (Please Lord, make it soon), the fiat dollar will be no more. That's when silver takes its moonshot.

It won't fit here so I don't try, but many have posted the evidence here on Opp in countless Topics.

Noted but this is also the Trap they set for Trump.... same shake out if HIllary were there... it's all designed to do the

Global Currency Reset and Bankruptcy.... GCR

I'm waiting for confirmation that the Bankster families have bankrupted the U.S. Inc out of Puerto Rico... on Monday May 1st...

I need time and I will report it back here or in a new Topic.

The Bankster families will Crash Global Markets starting with the Dollar then activate Full Throttle the BRICS and Renmibi... later this will destroy the America's and force upon us the
Common Currency of the Americas'

Called the AMERO !

it's all part of the same gangster families Vatican, Rothschilds, et al. To maintain control and murder as many as they can by disguise...

More later...

Im' not buying anything until I see Trump go after the Banksters.... he may have already been bought for $20Billion and I have an article that lays it all out....

Roy Cohn is one of Trump's handlers... and there are others...

I'm sorry but I'm just not convinced and this is why he hasn't drained the swamp.

Simple Solution;
Confiscate their wealth then throw them into the hog pit on pay per view.
