A reasonable post or thread that sidesteps falling on either side of a controversial issue but instead looks to bring both sides together in a reasonable discourse, will usually be ignored or act as a playground for the disaffected of either side.

Ipnmajor, banjojack, AuntiE, slatten49, oldschool, and a number of others have their replies and threads become sawdust in the wake of buzzsaw extremism.

It seems to be reasonable, fair and balanced, is to be obsolete in these discussions. Show hate and get numbers. Be popular, lol.

Many of the posts of the people you mentioned do not discuss for the most part politics. They engage in social conversation.

Most of your posts confuse me. I am left with wondering what is your point. I do not intend disrespect. I am just puzzled. Are you lonely and just want people to talk with? Are you a frustrated man who is searching for answers but do not know how to pose the questions?

What is reasonable about where we find ourselves?? Listen to the words of NY Gov Cuomo, today,,,just like with Islam... liberalism is our bane.

We are at war,,,, one thing I know about war is: the last imbecile to recognize it and understand that he is at war usually loses.

"While frequently, after searching for an enemy to give battle to, one comes home with a sense of failure at not having brought a hostile machine to the ground. Then a man is apt to say to himself, "You have acted stupidly. . . .
The great thing in air fighting is that the decisive factor does not lie in trick flying but solely in the personal ability and energy of the aviator, to see and attack first,,,, many are the fights over, before the victim even knows the battle joined....A flying man may be able to loop and do all the stunts imaginable and yet he may not succeed in shooting down a single enemy. in my opinion the aggressive spirit is everything and that spirit is very strong in us Germans. Hence we shall always retain the domination of the air. " Baron Von Richtoffen

We are at war,,, and so am I from here on out.........

Succinct: unless a post looks to incite hate or division, it is usually ignored.

Ummm....Is it possible to stick to a topic? Yeah, i don't mind aimless ramblings, sometimes those can be amusing.
But, we do have some worthy news to discuss. Such as Cuomo showing his cards...Not a full deck, to be sure. We have Obama in a weird interview invoking race once again.
In the first case, Cuomo, he backtracked by saying his quotes were " Distorted"..Hmmm..Ok, yeah, I get it, he meant Republican "extreme" candidates aren't welcome as they are not real " New Yorkers"...So, I guess in his mind, you need to be pro abortion, anti guns, and pro gay. What is it Andy?
You don't like differing views? So, you speak for all the people in NY? What a shithead!
Then you have this interview with Obama...What a wonderful, totally un presidential man he is! Good god, the guy is clueless. No, barrack, it is not about race...It is about your total disregard for the constitution and your incompetence. You, sir, are a disgrace by any color.

It is NOT Obama's race, it is his actions or inactions that are destroying this nation.

Any time an issue turns to the downside for liberals the race card is used.

I think everyone is tired of being called a racist every time they disagreed with an action or policy!

There are those who voted for the guy because he is black.
That, too, is racism.

Paraphrased for sure. Ironic isn't it?

Did we just warp into a Seinfeld episode? Where the whole premise of the show is about nothing.

The power brokers yank our chains and we bark on command.
