pretty smart ole gal. gets to see the world and saves money while she does it. plus all the benefits. sounds like sound investment to me.
When I was a young snot I thought I was a smart ass and the old folks were the dumb ones. Now that I have joined the ranks of the old I finally got smart and realized that I wasn't so smart after all and that in my old age I learn something new each and every day. The only thing that I am sorrowful for is that I didn't grow up sooner.
pappadeux,I agree with you 100%......remember when we were 16 years old,and wished we were 21? now im over 70,and wish I were 16 again, but,My question is,,,,,WHERE did all of those years.between 16 and 70 go?????????

When I grow up I suspect I will feel the same😄😮
Right now I'm being sure to enjoy this wonderful, magical life we were blessed to receive...We only get this one time and I want to fill the memory banks for the days I can sit in peace reflecting on them..
Regret nothing and feel your inner self relish in the good life you have and had..♥️
Our elders are the world of knowledge we need to keep going!! They lived it and know!!
Amen, Sister. I remember well sitting in my VW Bug on Atlantic Ave. at a stop light in Va. Beach, Va. in 1967. Was going for a Draft physical on Monday. I knew I'd probably die in VN. I asked the Lord to let me see the year 2000 when I'd be 50. Well, I wasn't drafted though I ended up in the nam anyway (Merchant Marine) and I've been on the gravy train for 17 years. Yes ma'am, relish every breath and all around you, especially the loved ones. Mike

A gravy train of Thanks that you were given you prayer request and now living life with eminence gratitude..
You know tea, if everyday starts with a moment of gratitude your day is so much more..
We can look at the negativity around us, such as in politics, but in the end we do out of our love for country.. I give Thanks every day for this country as compared to any other, we, simply put, rock it!!! None better !!
Yes,sir~~ relish every breath and all around you , especially loved ones...perfect that advice is!!! ♥️🌹
LJ, I've been blessed with a positive attitude. I'm lucky in that I see the good in people (until they prove me wrong) and most things. I've done a lot of things and been to a lot of places most will never see. And even when it seemed to be a most dire situation, I found fascinating parts in it. And thank you gracious Lady. Mike

I see this in your posts.. You do have a positive attitude!! We sure need more of that than all the negative.. Ennough of that comes on its own without creating more...
We see things much the same in that I also say in the bad there is good..easier to look for the good than bad..
I'm a lion bunny saying Happy Easter to you..
Thank you so much for the Lion Bunny. A cutie to be sure. I've been following your posts and agree that we are kindreds of thought and disposition. I have a granddaughter who is ken. Her mother who defiantly identifies as Irish, doesn't know what KEN, is. She (granddaughter) is possessed with Irish Imps and is amazing to be around. Without actually knowing you, you remind me of her.
LJ, the only time you will see me get negative is when a male attacks a woman. I'm 67, my mom was a 1st Lt Navy, my dad was MSSGT Marines. My mom loved the Navy and blamed me for quite a few years for her having to get out. Wasn't totally my fault.
My mom and sorta my dad were feminist back before it was the fad of today. Most people today have no knowledge of our history. I saw a black man hanged in Vicksburg Mississippi in I think 1954 for defiling(whistling at her) (democrats) a WHITE Woman. We had in Mississippi an old black guy and his mule who came thru every year to make sure the ditches were clear. I would have my Mom make hotdog samis for him and we would talk. At one point when he was young , he had been a slave, he and I got along great. Got my mouth washed out with soap after I got beat up by friends because I was defending black neighbors. If need be I will still take that beating for a principle but please understand, I'm grown, I'll fight back, I Will win. Women and Kids will win. The crap that's going on has to be stopped. You who don't agree do not want to meet me!
