It is said the first casualty of war is TRUTH. The next must be intelligence. Where is the proof that this was ordered by Assad? Or even done by a Syrian plane? And don't just say it had Syrian markings on it. Any fool can see through that one. On the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor many people, including military, said that the flying of the enemy planes was so spectacular that they must have been piloted by Germans since the shape of Japanese eyes would rule them out as pilots. What BS! Needless to say later in the day some people would report having seen German markings on the planes.

When a crime is committed we say "Follow the money" - in international affairs we ask "Who got the benefit from this?".

Yes. This is exactly why I've been telling PeterS not be so fast to judge, jury, and be executioner. There are so many untrustable variables it is too soon to act. I think it fits Assad's M.O. and history, and he may be trying to provoke a U. S. Russia confrontation in hopes that Russia reacts by stepping up their support, but not all the pieces fit yet.

Plus, I'm not positive the answer is blowing up more of Syria. We can always do the flash bang thing but once people are dead, they can't be brought back.

I believe we need to look at our own agencies here still devoted to Obama as well as consider ISIS and/or Iran.

We KNOW too little to be blowing up more of Syria at this time, and while I'm at it.....I don't like blowing up someone else's country to begin with. Certainty not on what we have so far. As far as I know, Trump has Intel we don't. Maybe the strike was justified but at this point I don't know for sure.
Yes. This is exactly why I've been telling Peter... (show quote)

We agree as I'm sure you saw in my posts.. Heck right now we don't even know who did what??

One thing though Doc, we also can not sit back and allow chemical warfare in or for any country.. Talk about a quick and devastating way to finish a country, that's it!!! Whether Syria or the rebels or Iran etc it has to be quick action with a strong message it will not be tolerated, period.. whoever it was at least also sees we mean business..

I sure hope No. Korea watched too!! Not that it will do anything for that punk other than upset him that his missles are so inferior to ours or others..

Assad is vicious, no doubt, but why would he do this, how does it benefit him, Blade.

Thank You for your comments, I value your opinion and ask you to expound on it, please..
Tyrants benefit by eliminating those who oppose them, and by "eliminating", I don't mean forcing them to leave the country. A significant number of Syrians want Assad GONE.

Lindajoy, this is a dangerous proposal of yours, since the UN is now a communist club of dictators and despots hoping to create international chaos to destabilize the world into demanding an international police state. This is all a part of the UN's Agenda 2030, reducing the world population to a "sustainable" 2 billion people through endless warfare.

Well, it's coming one way or the other.. Not if, just when and I suspect they figured Hills would be in office right now tying up the loose ends to bring it full trottle..

What they didn't bank on was the awakening of the people, We the People, who realized what was taking place and or have had enough of it. We stood in recognition of the progressive movement, and we stood against the progressivism being introduced into our country!

At this point it is imperative that we continue to fight against the progressive movement, the globalist, the NWO movement, the illuminati, whoever the hell it is, we're going to meet them one day regardless... That is certain..

The UN Agenda of 2030 tells us the timeframe and how long we're going to be fighting to keep our freedom, to keep our country as it was born and out of the hands of the socialist idiots!!

We sure have a lot to do, don't we CounterRevolunary!!! ?????

This , I do know...You are right, his own does want him gone..

He kills his own for control, suppression and power... Now that sounds like the last eight years here.. He killed growth, jobs, people with the worst insurance coverages, many a soldiers in his intended acts of suppressing our elite military and not letting them do their job, yes he did!! Perhaps Assad forgot BO was out of office, knowing he drew imaginary lines only..!

I agree. If the circumstances warrant, we go in. What I'm against is reacting rather than acting because those 2 responses are world's apart. I pray Trump based his decision on factual information instead of his military advisor's gut reactions.

The other thing I'm against is ever going in but doing only half the job. If we are going to shoot.....SHOOT! A slap on the wrist is an exercise in futility. If we are going in, go all the way. I don't ever want another Obama put in the position to pull our.people out before the job is complete, causing more uncountable deaths including some of our people, and leaving an entire functional army's supply behind. He is the reason we are where we are today.

That's been our problem all along in the middle east. We go in and only do half the job and then we're all of a sudden pulling out leaving it in a shambles and still nothing resolved. Or making it worse by someone else coming in to run the country with a different set of gimme gimme gimme's in mind...

Lines drawn in the sand with no response when they not only stepped over it but created a slap in the face to Obama that he still did nothing about...They tested him and found that he wasn't going to do anything...

Perhaps they tested Donald Trump as well? And now they see he will act! We do need our reputation returned and our strength to be known and to use it when and if it is necessary...

We agree again, Doc.. We're not the bullies, we are the ones to come in and help when asked where needed. The Middle East doesn't care one way or the other...Their motivation is to eliminate world leaders and to infiltrate the country, then taking over it....And I will suggest again, that it is because of The progressives forcing socialism down our throats... Their ultimate goal in control!

I'm looking at the situation and I'm think Trump is in way over his head on this one and needs advice. How about everyone list what they would do as Commander in Chief and maybe, just maybe, someone in the intelligence circles will see this and promote some options for the president. I'll start.

First, get some cruise missile subs near Syria. Tell CIA to get some high priority targets for them so they can hit the top level command and control centers of the Syrian military. Hopefully, we have a carrier group in the region for the subs to hide under while on station. We don't need troops or jets and stuff to put one down on Assad. If we show we can take him at a moments notice and we prove we have the nerve to do it with a couple missile hits, we've got leverage.

Second, ask CIA about assets in Syria that can encourage a military coup so we don't have to lift a finger and still get a regime change. Can we do this? Can we initiate the operation? What about Syrian military assets who are willing to entertain the assassination option? I'm sure there are military personnel who have family in Allepo who got hurt in the bombing. Also, see if assets in Syria can convince Assad to step down peacefully and back channel with Putin to give asylum if he leaves now. No matter what, we want him out.

Third, publicly put it to Putin to either take action against Assad since the Russian military is already in Syria, or to publicly step aside and let someone else deal with him. The "give asylum to Assad" works with the back away option. Either way, we want our cruise missile option if we need to send a warning message.

Fourth, encourage the UN coalition to assemble a peace keeping force to intervene in the Syrian conflict in any event.

Do we have proof Assads forces actually dropped the gas?
Last I heard, more than a dozen countries signed off that all of the Serin gas were removed
From Syria, and destroyed in the Caspian Sea.

Interesting that there was no need for masks or gloves for the Rapid Response teams.

So No,
I'm not happy with this response to say the least.
Technically we just bombed a sovergn country (which is an act of war) with out any PROOF!
Nor did Trump have Congressional Authority!
This was an unilaterial act of WAR performed by this Administration.
At NO point were American citizens harmed to warrent such an attack.

My guess, the Central bankers finally got to Trump.

You are correct from what I saw of the airport..

I have to wonder if it was a message, strong message, do it again and we will be sure to cause damage?? In terms of being cautious that areas bombed were not in close proximity to citizens???

It's all so strange, really..

Lesson from World War II.

During World War II, Germany, Italy and Japan were the Axis, and The United States, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic, England, France, and various other nations were the allies. Hitler controlled most of Europe and was only toying with Great Britain. Normandy, France, Spain, Austria, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Serbia, and Romania all fell to Hitler and Mussolini. China's main land was over run with the Japanese, and most of the Pacific Theater was taken over by the Emperor of Japan. This was the condition of the world December 7th, 1941.

Then the Empire of Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. At this time, Roosevelt was working on domestic issues. He started major programs ranging from Social Security to Unemployment benefits. The country was way different then it is today. Whatever happened overseas did not concern us. A raft filled with Polish Jews made it to Elis Island, where they were turned away. America did not believe the reports of these Polish Jews. Germany and Japan were conquering the world, through their dictatorships. Europe fell, the only resistance that was left, was Great Britain and a handful of Americans in Casablanca.

Then December 7th, 1941 occurred. Almost over night, the American War machine was pumping out weapons for our troops. Americans from 17 to 35 were enlisting willingly into the war effort. Everyone in America stood together to take out the Evil Axis powers. Overseas young men were fighting, while their families back here at home were building the equipment they fought with. On 'D'-Day, America with the aid of Great Britain, stormed the beaches of Normandy. Thousands of lives were lost. Each one fought for their country.

Then the war lasted another four years, from December 7th 1941, until August 15, 1945, we fought against a monster. The Nazi's were experimenting on human beings. Even though most of these experiments occurred in the worst of circumstances, the findings of these experiments helped advance medicine today. However, using Jewish men, women, and children in human experiments as if they were lab rats was an evil that was so astonishing that the world punishes the Nazis today. The holocaust of World War II, brought fourth with such discrimination and prejudice, that not even the American African Slaves could ever compare with the horrors of Nazi Germany on the Jewish People.

In 1945, Germany had already surrendered to General Eisenhower. On May 7th, 1945, Nazi Germany surrendered. The Allies, Russia, the United States, France and Britain split up Germany so that these kind of atrocities would never occur again. Germany experimented on Chemical Warfare long before Saddam Hussein did. It was determined by the Geneva Convention, as well as the United Nations Resolutions that Chemical Weapons are to be prohibited and if used, the one who used it will be considered a crime against humanity. This prohibition was against the rules of War.

After Germany and Italy were defeated, the Japanese continued to fight. Truman knew that the Japanese would fight until every last Japanese man, woman and child were dead. Truman was searching for a way of ending the war, without such a great loss of life. Therefore, President Truman on August 6, 1945 dropped two atomic bombs on Japan. This destruction took the fight out of the Japanese and on August 15th, 1945, Japan officially surrendered.

Now, what lesson is there to learn here. ISIS, Al-Qaeda, the Taliban is similar to the Japanese during World War II. In order to defeat them all we need to do is take the fight out of them. This is no easy task. It took Truman to drop two, not one, but two atomic bombs for Japan to surrender. Now these terrorists will not surrender, they would rather commit suicide, or be kamikaze pilots in vehicles, trains, busses, or even aircraft. These terrorists will not surrender easily.

I was born before World War II. I lost my Grandfather and Godfather who risked their lives fighting the Axis powers, not obeying them. ISIS, Al Queda and the Taliban are nothing like Japan. The issues bear no similarity.
Does the writer expect us to believe that Jews in a raft came here from Poland or Germany and made it to Ellis Island? That insults our intelligence. Atrocity stories, real or imagined, committed by foreign nations have nothing to do with the United States who willingly sacrificed the lives of hundreds of thousands of her youth to defeat two of the three great tyrannies of the war. Let's not.

Now that's a cute windows error I've never seen before...

explorer.exe - Fatal Application Exit

barrier.c - AquireSelfProtection()

Whaddya think, is someone attempting to remote access my laptop again or is it just another in a long list of cosmic coincidences? This covert "cloak and dagger" routine gets old after a while.

So I appear to be good at analysing the current course of events. It doesn't mean I'm running the show, although cool if I'm getting some respect.
