Here's a threat Trump made that is shaking PBS/NPR to the core.

Why should I?
Religion was created to control the working class and prevent them from rebelling against the wealthy.

I very much doubt that you and your fellow right wing ding bats would support anything other then a wet tee shirt contest and any word from the orange mans mouth..

Go to any length to try and shut down the opposition.. Damn, you would never want anything good to be done for the Middle/working class. But yes, gotta heap the bennies onto the very rich. A crumb may fall from their table and you can fight over that..

You need to stop smoking that shit weed.

Richard, would you be happy if Congress passed a bill to fund wider programming of the Rush Limbaugh program? Let me hazard a guess that you would not be in favor of that because it would be forcing you to pay for expounding views with which you disagree. The same is true of forcing everyone to pay for NPR & PBS. Many disagree with their leftist programming. Those government supported, biased "media" haven't been favored by conservatives for many years but conservatives don't seem to be as quick to rebel as liberals. I think that has been clearly demonstrated by the reactions to the last few election results. I would be ashamed to be known as a liberal.

Good point.

I'll bet that some snowflake will resent the idea of PBS/NPR becoming self-sufficient and independent will do so for the very reasons they object to Americans who are self-sufficient and independent. Besides, there's something also included in that self-sufficiency thing that progressive, big-government folks despise- capitalism.

I think the idea that the government's possible end of federal money for PBS/NPR making liberals shake with fear is false. Many of us would also prefer that PBS/NPR be self-sufficient. That way there would be less temptation to advance conservative lies in order to appear to have "fair and balanced" presentations. All liberals would need to do would be to double the size of their contributions. I for one would be happy to do this.

I thought the conservatives were the ones with the money. At least that is what liberals here have been saying. And the liberals are the ones for the little guy, because the liberals are the little guys.

Has all that talk been wrong?

One doesn't have to 'admit' that at all. One just has to accept the right's premise that public media is liberally biased... the right says it constantly, so no admitting is necessary. Unless, of course, you think that public media is not liberally biased.

Is or is NPR and PBS taxpayer funded liberal media?

The 298,000 increase in jobs was simply a continuation of the effects of Obama's policies. That was the trend under Obama, who had one of the longest streaks of monthly job number increases of any modern President. It is a little early to detect any effect attributable to Trump.

Of course. How foolish of me to believe those companies that said they are expanding due to Trump's deregulation and incentive plans.

Obviously they are wrong about their own reasons and you are correct.

They should have asked you what they think before saying such outrageous things such as Obama crippled their businesses but Trump is revitalizing them.

It's sad when employers don't know why they are doing better. They had the foolish idea that they were running their own businesses. They forgot that Obama had already told them that they hadn't built them.

Yep, all been wrong. The richest ( Kennedy, Zuckerberg, etc) are all collectivists. Getting the middle class to give crumbs to the poor to shut em up while using THE POWER OF THE STATE TO PROTECT THEM FROM COMPETITION.

DESTROY THEM BY HAVING PURE CAPITALISM.

Read, Capitalism the Unknown Ideal by Ayn Rand.

You'll never be the same. You'll understand their criminal minds.
