That's what I said. The prosecutors work for the rich, so, there you have it. I think Tasine missed that.

Got a question for you cold iron, and anyone else who cares..Ron Reagan granted amnesty and we now never hear a thing about it. If the current version is so evil, how does todays version of amnesty differ from the Reagan version of amnesty?

No difference. Reagan's version was supposed to solve the problem so we would never have millions of illegals ever again. Since it didn't work, it proves this new one will not achieve that goal either. That is what is wrong with today's version. The same thing is wrong with it as was wrong with Reagan's version.

And by the way, Reagan's version turned California from a Republican stronghold to a Democrat sure thing. This new version will turn the whole country into a sure Democrat victory in every election.

The prosecutors of illegal aliens don't work "for the rich" - they work for the federal government. They, like all government employees pretty much do as they are told. I am a tad informed on this because my deceased husband was for some 20 years in the US Border Patrol, then went to criminal investigations for the Immigration Service. I could tell you some tales, but suffice to say that every "prosecution" costs the taxpayers more than it costs the criminal. It can take a year or better to get a trial actually completed, at which time the criminal gets his hand slapped. The laws against invading our country are pitiful and worthless, and the government really isn't interested in getting the illegals out because they bring in so many votes, and because they will work cheaply for those crass enough to cheat workers out of proper pay. And it isn't just the wealthy that take advantage of that lower pay: it is small business people barely with their heads above water; it is individuals, particularly the elderly, who need chores done cheaply; it is cities and small towns needing lawn service, street work, etc. If blame is always a MUST, let's at least be honest about it.

For 20 years my husband would send back illegals across the border, only to have them on our streets again before he got the paperwork finished. What has ALWAYS been needed is not a fence, but strength in laws and the will to enforce them. That lies in Congress' lap, at present in the Democrats' lap, and they are the ones expecting more votes as a result of illegal immigration.

Jay, I recently heard this on a conservative radio broadcast: "In a communist country the powerful become rich and in a capitalist country the rich become powerful." It seems we now have these felons showing who they are and what their true intentions are toward us; that is, the great ignorant masses. Who must keep us ignorant to keep us from bringing their lying butts to a hangman's noose following a swift and constitutional trial? Who else but those we 'elected'?

In California a illegal can get a drivers license, if they pass they are also given a voters card and can vote in all elections. By the way they all vote for the big D on the ballot.

Here in Michigan we no longer have to take road tests to qualify for a drivers license. Why? Because some applicants aren't fluent in english so forcing these individuals to take a road test isn't 'fair'. Not a joke.
