This is my last posting on OPP. I’ve let my postings get out of hand, and they’re affecting my temperament. My arguments are not swaying any of the lefties in the forum, as well as theirs are not swaying me. I’ve always said “arguing with a liberal is like spitting into the wind” and it is never any more apparent than here on OPP. I do feel this forum reflects this countries deep divide between liberals and conservatives, with some moderates in the middle. My temperament just can’t take anymore and I’m bailing out of here.

For the conservatives in the forum beware of the new guy Retired669, he is nothing more than a BoJester clone, or if you can remember, he’s just another Lou. For all I know, he could be one of those using a different user name, anyway be prepared for his caustic postings. He is not here to debate issues, only to attack and rip conservatives. Good luck to everyone and good posting. I can't say it's been fun.

oldschool, I share the same frustration though from a different root cause. I have been taking a few days off here and there for a few months now; it just gets too dang ugly at times.

Your penchant to demean and insult all those who disagreed with you made conversion difficult. You appeared to merely look for agreement from your like-minded cohorts (backslapping each other over some derisive remarks leveled against "demorats" and "libtards") and gave mockery for everyone and everything else not in lock-step with your thinking. That said, you did bring a steady stream of one side of the political spectrum that, despite the minefield in commenting on them, are needed here. Dutchman seems to be taking over very nicely, almost to a T, but your voice is needed as well. Maybe if you weren't straining so hard to win over the lefties and just put the word out and let go, it would make it easier to stay.
