"The Old Pals' Act." They never do. If they did go to prison, that would drain the swamp mighty fast.

McCain has been riding on his military background and yet to my knowledge hasn't done enough for veterans care .

Thank you for your insightful posting; however, you failed to present an opposing view which makes your diatribe only partially true.

You failed to mention the massive amounts of money placed into the hands of the GOP by Right Wing ideologues. The Koch's stand out, (I find it somewhat humorous to see PBS promoting, 'The Davis S. Koch Foundation For Science'). Life is not black and white.

I agree that there was a movement afoot for The Women's March, no doubt about it. Is it not time for women to be appreciated in this world for all they do?

More recently, the spontaneous street showings are closer to a true spontaneity. When five year old children are handcuffed, where legal individuals are detained, we have a serious problem. That problem is Trump, who is led by the nose by Bannon.

Being a straight individual of the XY genetic variance, I have no Right to tell anyone of the XX variance what they can do with their bodies. It is, quite simply, none of my business, nor is it the business of a gaggle of pseudo-politicians, all male, to swoon about the president signing onto the "Mexico City Gag Rule".

After some thought, I have to ask, "who is paying for the pro-Trump BS?" He has, in just a mere 8 days proven himself to be as out of touch with reality as any prior president. For anyone to support this buffoon taxes every synapse in my 65+ year old brain.

Mr. Trump is not my president, although he may sit in the highest office of the land. He is a misogynist, paranoid, spiteful bag of human flesh. I am ashamed, for the world sees us as morons for allowing this to come about. Those who support him should feel great shame as he degrades women and physically accosts them, even suggesting that he would "date" his own daughter. We all have, or had a mother, would we allow them to be treated the way this cretin treats women?

The only good thing about the bar being so low, is that it can only go up.

Hello Rasputin and Welcome ..

If you hit Quote reply, when posting it will help all knowing to whom you are replying...

Isn't it amazing how anything said of one party can be said of other...

In price comparison during the election we see Soros spent, literally millions just himself.. Then if you look over to Hillary, pay for play foundation we see not only millions of dollars from Wall St cronies, but fromy our enemy no less..

Yes, no doubt the Globalist in fact own this country and the politicians...

I'm just glad Trump is not owned by them and loves the challenge in trying to keep them at bay as much as possible...

Those progressive globalist are more than just a little upset having lost all those million and surely are looking for revenge...Thus, what we see going on right now..

Time tells all and as he continues to achieve what he said he would, hopefully, others may realize how duped they were not only in all their fake news reporting on polls, but of President Trump...

As for the orchestrated Women's March, funded by Soros, please don't include me in that atrocious display of total embarrassment to women..They were appalling in mouth and dressing attire....

Anyway, nice to have you with us...
Look forward to more of your posts...

I appreciate your comments and wish to extend a warm welcome to you as a new member of OPP. Fact is, I have not had an interest in who is funding politicians or "protests" until lately. I am quite sure that the Koch family does invest their money in politics, to what extent I do not know. Further, because President Trump financed the majority of his own campaign, they will have little affect on his policy making or decisions.

If you want to pretend that President Trump is not your president, that is okay with me so long as you do not try interfere with my quality of life or otherwise interfere with my rights as an American citizen. Indeed, you can criticize our president as much as you desire providing that you stay within the laws. Heck, you can even howl at the moon if you wish. However, do not think you have the right to burn down cities and towns, commit murder, and become a burden on our safety nets used by the needy, or commit acts of treason.

I invite you to openly share with us your opinions and thoughts even if it is about our president or his actions. I do not have to like what you have to say and I am under no obligation to read your comments. I am mindful that you are a person blessed with being in a country where you are free to make your opinions known. This is a nod to our military; past, present, and future, who has given their lives to ensure your freedoms and I hope you exercised one of those freedoms and voted. I am sure you are upset that your candidate did not win the election, but it is now time to rebuild our cities, our infrastructure, and relationships within our nation. I hope that you will begin to work with us instead of against us as we move toward a new direction.

Thank you so much for your time, both reading this and responding. I too have found that many of the voters from 08 and 12 changed their vote this past year. I have such hopes that all this anti-Trump stuff will run its course soon, but I am not holding my breath. True, our President is not pure as driven snow, and he will make mistakes and many of those mistakes will be just stupid mistakes.... but, to be sure I can not name any president that was perfect and did not make mistakes. Some more than others. It may be just me, but I do not think that the "progressive" have given him a fair chance. And I also think that he is what we needed at this point in our history to change the "go along to get along" attitude of DC.

BTW, I am also happy that you were not that offended by my remarks. Thank you!

If the Leftist/Liberals could ever possibly get offended, I might feel we were making progress.

Hedge,

Are you kidding, I think they live their lives being offended and offensive!!

All kidding aside, did I come off offensively? I try hard to always consider the feeling of others. My Papa once told me after I had unloaded my mind on another kid (I was about 7), to be careful with words for they are more cruel than a sword. Physical wounds heal, but words can linger and cause pain years after they are said. He went on to say that no apology can heal those wounds and once said, they can not be unsaid.

So... if I offended anyone with what I wrote to the newcomer, I ask for your forgiveness, my intentions were not to hurt his or anyone's feeling.

My mother used to tell me: "Now that's not very nice, Carol". All I could say then, was "Umph."

It's different now. I have absolutely no qualms about being "not nice" when there is something on the line: like the world.

The problem is you can look straight into the eyes of the pro-choice women and tell them they are sluts and they just look at you funny. They are not even offended, nor shamed.

Murder of police officers doesn't offend them, either. I'm sure you can find other examples.

Take Raylan Wolfe, for instance. You can tell him straight out: That's a lie. And prove it with legitimate sources. And he isn't even offended. He's very proud of his ability to lie.

Carol,

I have some very strong opinions about abortion..... so many use it as a form of birth control never giving a thought that what they are paying someone to murder is a child. And our law enforcement, G*d love them they have such a tough job!

You are quite right about speaking up when important things are on the line.... you should, and I respect you for doing so. I guess, although my Papa has been dead for too many years, I still have so much respect for his teachings because I have yet to find fault with them. He did not tell me not to be blunt or speak my mind, but rather to be selective with my words.
