I'm still at point A. That's why I was curious about point B. A cause for motivation? My wife tells me that the difference between a sexy senior citizen and a dirty old man is money. She says I'm a dirty old man. She's still the woman of my dreams even after 54 years.

54 years! Yikes! You could have killed her twice and still been out by now. She invades your dreams you say? Interesting.

We'll hit 20 in March. I wouldn't trade her for anything. Not even a t-bone. Nope. She's mine, all mine. Hmm. Then again... A t-bone you say? How thick?...

I've said it before but I'll say it again. I really enjoy reading stories of couples that have been married longer than I've been alive. Younger generations can learn invaluable lessons from such people. 👍👍

It is a true blessing to grow old with someone you love more than your own life. I still see the young girl I married.

Well I am not 90! Congrads to you sir! But, I am 75 and beginning a weight-lifting program, called 'The slow burn ' method. It gives a man twice the strength over time as a lifter who might be middle age. I am now five weeks into the program and already notice a big difference. I am also in excellent health. I can do "horse' with anyone even with my younger sons. My doctor yesterday said; "you are my prime patient!" he gave me a total bill of health. I am grateful.

Yes it is padre. He was my hero, my best friend, my champion. We had 46 years together and it wasn't enough. Just greedy, I guess. He passed five years ago and I still find it difficult to accept. He suffered with so many diseases but never complained. His main concern was me and our sons. He loved working on his classic cars which made me happy as well, because that meant he was home most of the time. We never went anywhere without holding hands and there never was a curse or insult between us. I miss him so much and will miss him every day of my life.

Those treasures, those examples of love and fidelity, are the ones we pass on to our children that are invaluable. Thank you for sharing.

I'll be lucky if I last until I'm 80. Genetics is a bitch.

This of course reminds me of a quote from one of the greatest baseball players who ever lived.

Never run, when you can walk; never walk, when you can stand still; never stand still, when you can sit down; and, never sit down when you can lie down. And, never never never look behind you, because something may be gaining.

Sachel Page

Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige was born circa July 7, 1906, in Mobile, Alabama, and honed his pitching talents in reform school. Denied entry to the Major Leagues, he began his professional baseball career in the Negro Leagues in 1926 and became its most famous showman. Paige finally broke through to the Majors as a 42-year-old rookie, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971. He died on June 8, 1982. Some baseball historians consider him one of the greatest pitchers that ever lived. I saw him once at Candlestick Point in San Francisco against the Giants. When he stepped off the bag, he could almost place his foot on home plate. The best.
