Face it, the Democratic Party has been increasingly socialist since the advent of William Jennings Bryan. Today it's 100% socialist, from top to bottom.
The current mindset of the Democratic Party is still the same from its beginning. It is a "plantation" mindset. The slave owners see anyone who is not of their superior economic status as inferior in all ways. This false perception of themselves couples together with another false perception of believing they are the "caring people" and the result is a party of self-professed elitist. When "evolution" was the accepted theory for giving this elitist a justification for origins and social "good and bad" movements "forward" they now see themselves as the "vanguard" of "progress." The "feeling of superiority", even though the total mindset is a philosophical "house of cards" is such that they will literally hate anyone who "pops this bubble" with the truth. This mindset is so deeply rooted in their psyches that only traumatic incident can possibly destroy it. Trump could be this "incidence" for them. He is like a "Spartacus" leading those who have been enslaved by these elitist out of their dependency on "government benefits" which their "good-hearted globalist masters" have "given them" with their own money they have stolen from them through taxes, toward true state of independence by working for themselves instead working on their plantation.

Thaddeus(sp?) Russell in "Renegade History of The United States" told about the lyrics to Dixie having been written by freed slaves. They wished they were in Dixie because, as slaves, they didn't have to worry about anything. They were always taken care of by the master.
Interesting.
The issue here is that there were some American people who disrespected the will of his fellow citizens by not accepting Barack Obama who was elected twice. At every turn, they disrespected the President and in some cases, even disrespected the First Lady Michelle Obama. These people essentially set the stage and paved the way for the President of the United States to be ridiculed, made fun of, called iligitimate and hated with a passion. So now it is OK for the rest of the American people who don't like Trump to do the same, to respond in kind. It is a taste of their own medicine.

Show me just ONE instance of Republicans boycotting a Democratic inauguration.
People have hated presidents for generations; FDR, JFK, LBJ, Reagan, Clinton, the Bushes. And no one has ever been hated as much as Richard Nixon.
The ordinary citizen is entitled to criticize every political figure as are columnists, etc. The problem is never have we witnessed anything even approaching the depths that have been discussed to stop Donald Trump, including death
threats to electors and interim presidents, designated suvivorship. This has been so far out of the realm of ordinary to not even being describable as extraordinary.
I'll tell you what patrioticmind, tell us about his education in those public and Catholic schools in Indonesia. What were his courses & what was he taught? Did that public school teach him Sharia Law? And tell us about his academic record at Occidental. And tell us how he managed to transfer to elite Columbia University when transfers to such prestigious schools are extremely rare.
I don't know the answers but we had the academic record of every presidential candidate I ever remember. The media didn't do their job because if they had, we'd know it if we had wanted.
As far as Michelle Obama, she put herself out there, starting with her comment of being proud of America for the first time. With that, she asked for it. But the daughters should be off limits because they didn't and they were.
Barack Obama was handled with kid gloves by the the overwhelming majority of the mass broadcasting media and his excesses excused by the print media as no president in history.
