Cubans, who risked their lives to come to America....Escaping a communist, brutal government...Were given asylum once they reached US soil. Now Obama changes this.....Yet....thousand of illegals find sanctuary.

Under Clinton, they terrorized a young man, Elian Gonzales....He saw his mother die and nearly died himself. Yet, Janet Reno and Bill Clinton saw fit to raid the home where Elian was living, and forcibly sending him back to Cuba.
So, now, under Obama, who wants to normalize relations with Cuba, now refuses to acknowledge those that have to escape a communist regime, yet, allows thousands to come through our southern border and supports sanctuary cities?
Please, tell me if this a sane policy.....I have to know if anyone can explain this.

obama is a traitor, that is the simplest explanation, he is supporting the communist agenda of Cuba, he is a commie muslim!

Problem is..... muslims and south Americans are getting a free pass... and there was a longstanding immigration policy that allowed any Cuban who made it to U.S. soil to stay and become a legal resident. Bill Clinton created "wet foot, dry foot" policy in 1995 as a revision of a more liberal immigration policy that allowed Cubans caught at sea to come to the United States become legal residents in a year. Now any Cuban who came under that policy and has not obtained citizenship will be immediately deported. Regardless if they have anchor babies.

And you point out a failure of Foreign policy that goes back to the Carter years.
Democrats have no coherent policy, and it hampers every administration even their own.

Obama calls those kids dreamers. These kids were driven to the US risking their lives. Their parents did not care what could happen to their children. They sent them as a passage or avenue for them to follow. It was an illegal strategy abusing the American people of their compassion.

I understand the wet foot/dry foot policy, but that wasn't the question. Let me rephrase it for you: If you are against Muslims and Hispanics--both of whom risked everything they have in coming to this country why are you in favor of Cuban Hispanics from coming to this country too?
The point is, why the contradiction? What is it about being Cuban that is so special that you think they deserve special treatment? It can't be being Communist because Nicaraguans are under your Hispanic ban too so again, so why the special treatment for Cubans...

Because Cubans were fleeing communism not, like Mexicans having their anchor babies, mooching off taxpayers, bringing in drugs and gangs, etc, etc ,etc. And Muslims? It is against Cuban law to leave the country.
Obama is just helping to support Cuban law.
Previously we aided those trying to escape the commies.
In 62 I met a Cuban refugee on a fishing boat in Key West.
He had two scars on his calf, one entry and one exit.
He had narrowly escaped.
He spoke poor English but it was evident that he was
elated to be in the USA!
