Living in Chicago at one time these things were always in the news. Either because of the sound generated when in use or the amount in costs to keep them up and running...

Could drive by them and always see 4 or 5 not running...

Disclosure of birds or bats becoming entangled with them was said to be a nominal hazard that did not impact the species...

Renewable energy in the form of "free wind" has merit and in time will most likely be a fair source of electricity in a helping capacity but it will never be coal..

Alternative energy always good in some capacity I'm not exactly sure where this one falls ..don't particularly buy it...
