I find it hypocritical for these leftist touting that they're looking out for America's best interests while in reality they're more interested in consolidating power. Whatever fake patriotism they paint their hive minded talking points with it is only to reinforce the veneer they put in front of themselves so they may go about their agenda unhindered. The Koch brothers should be the least of your worries. There are more dangerous entites from the establishment Republican and Conservative In Name Only groups to concern yourself with. That is if you can spare the wit and endurance to pull the wool from over your eyes...

My thoughts are whoever has the most money does not think it should be happening. Now, how long it is going to take for a money monger with more money to appear and make it happen is unknown.

Koch industry's are one of the largest polluter's in America, they pay massive fines and pass the cost on... They can and will sell to who ever pays the most... Europe and China most likely... Free market capitalism will undermine us energy independence in a heart beat... all we end up with is a polluted place to live while Charles Koch buys more politicians. Not a good game plan

Maybe those effected don't want the pollution . Perhaps a refinery in Canada would be the answer . Might cost Koch a few bucks but so what ?

Go to factchecks us oil refining capabilities. In 1982 we had 301 refineries and today we have 149. Yes, they are much more efficient than they were 25 years ago but they are running at full capacity and cannot keep up with demand.

Then why did they shut them down ? Maybe because the damn oil companies ( now deemed person-hood for the purposes of campaign cash ) do whatever the hell they want . If they are over worked then quit exporting oil products .
The Keystone pipeline is a replacement of an existing pipeline . It isn't about oil production , it's about property rights and TransCanada and Koch thinking they can do anything . Replace the pipeline using the existing right of way , period . Private industry does not have eminent domain rights . And their profits are not covered under national security .

The best way to view this glop is to imagine molten peanut butter. That's what the consistency is like. In order to shove it through a pipeline you need to inject steam to heat it, or add solvents (a newer technology) to decrease viscosity. You can also view this stuff as liquid coal. By definition it is known as bituminous sands.

Yes . And guess who is the recipient of the " new technology " and it's toxicity ? Why don't they put the glop in a hopper and refine it where it came from ? They would need to use less oil to create the steam .

Canada turned down proposals for a pipeline and refinery projects in the past, so Kock turned to the US...Do not know if they could get permission in Canada now.. A pipeline is being built to Vancouver by China or Japan...The EL line is nothing but a loser for US population..

Got a note from a Canadian friend.. "Northern Gateway" the building of pipe line and shipping point in Vancouver was approved over protests by the First people, farmers, landowners and a number of political groups. Very unpopular, several other proposals had been defeated. But "win one, get ready to fight again, lose one and it is permanent".. His quote..

Let’s get a few things straight before I bring the hammer down.

First off the ones harping on the Koch brothers are the same people willing to turn a blind eye to the corrupt spending and political manipulation by the elite rich such as George Soros and Kaiser manipulating the politics by using their money and power to manipulate the masses through media and using their power for coercion. The bleating hypocrites need to get a fucking clue you’re more focused on the leftist anti-free market propaganda than the actual benefits of this pipeline securing our energy futures

Secondly the Keystone pipeline provides security in numerous ways such as energy independence and the one thing all of you have overlooked is keeping China away from our backdoor. I prefer the Canadians getting this piece of the pie than the godsdamned Chinese and I think the Koch brothers aren’t in the business of aiding our rivals overseas unlike our incompetent president and his administration. Companies such as Solyendra have done more to help the Chinese and producing those pathetic CFL light bulbs that our oh-so lovely government has forced everyone to buy over the cheaper and adequate incandescent bulbs. I think if you actually do the fact checking all across the board and not just the rabid foaming at the mouth ravings of outlets such as the Huffington Post you might learn there are benefits other than just making a few industrialists rich.

I notice the numbers thrown out by the left-wing propaganda hate machine such as 100 billion is a ridiculous number. That progressive fuzzy math is in play here as you know the cost of a barrel of oil of the standard market price versus the price of a barrel of crude to break even once production sets in the number is a lot more modest than these leftist like to put forth in their dumb pot induced research reports done by a bunch of college rejects.

Consider this the booming economy in North Dakota the left-wing hates it when any one is doing well without the burdensome influences of government so why do you think the left will pull anything out of their butts to shut down the pipeline? Not to hammer the Koch brothers like the good tools do here on this site but to enforce this progressive attitude to punish successes and to ensure the power and good coming from capitalism never sees the light of day.

Now I wait for the puny responses from you communist sons of whores then I'll going on my bombing run with cold hard facts.
