It’s Racist To Think Black Neighborhoods Are Unsafe

Those on the left insist that virtually everything is racist, but this newest one comes as a surprise. Apparently it is now racist to believe in something that is true. In other words, reality itself is racism. A recent study points out the shame that most people believe black neighborhoods are crime-infested hellholes.

Furtuity.com brings us the horrible news that People are racist against black places, too

New research shows that racial biases affect more than how we treat individual black people. Biases also lead us to devalue black homes and neighborhoods, and to subject them to potential health hazards.

The studies also demonstrate that even people who have positive attitudes toward black people may still undervalue black spaces.

“Many studies document that Americans harbor biases against black people. Ours are the first experiments to show that these biases extend to the physical spaces black Americans inhabit. In other words, stereotypes drive not only how we treat people, but also how we treat places,” said Jennifer Eberhardt, a Stanford University professor of psychology.

In one study, the researchers asked US-based study participants first to list characteristics associated with black areas, and then to estimate what percent of Americans would agree with each characterization. Participants described black places as physically degraded, unpleasant, unsafe, and lacking in resources. They also estimated that the more negative the characteristic, the higher the percent of Americans who would agree with it.

For the record, black people would all describe their own neighborhoods as “physically degraded, unpleasant, unsafe, and lacking in resources.” The reason for this is because that is an accurate description of most black neighborhoods in the country.

More proof of this insidious new form of racism comes from a pair of experiments. In the first, people were asked to evaluate the homes in white and black neighborhoods. Most people figured the homes in white neighborhoods were worth more, which is 100% true.

In the second experiment, participants were asked to rate neighborhoods based on the racial make up of the population. People thought predominantly white neighborhoods were better than predominantly black neighborhoods. Again, this is a fact backed up by every statistic you can think of. Black neighborhoods are not nice places to live.

I’m not quite sure how these experiments prove racism when the conclusions of the participants are based on fact. If you ask people whether it’s better to get shot or not, most people will respond that it’s better to not get shot because it’s a scientifically proven fact that not getting shot beats getting shot. This is not racism by any stretch of the imagination.

There may well be some nice black neighborhoods in America and certainly there are some not-so-nice white neighborhoods, but a good many black people are poor and live in concentrated areas that are full of crime and violence. You are not racist for wanting to avoid these areas, you are prudent.

Years ago, when we lived in the Chicago area I went to a seminar in Chicago. It did not get out until 10 at night, and I made a wrong turn ending up in the projects. I could hear gun shots, see police cars with lights flashing. I stopped to look at a map, only to find a black police officer approaching my car. "are you crazy, a white woman doesn't belong here, get out, drive through stoplights if no one is coming, just get out!!" He did tell me how to find the interstate that I wanted, but his main demand was that I get OUT, NOW. That area is now much worse, the major hotel in the area closed down, they could not protect the parking lot, let alone the people. That is not RACIST, it is the desire to stay alive.

I don't know about other cities and their black neighborhoods, but in Atlanta, Ga in just about every black neighborhood all the houses are equipped with burglar bars on all windows and doors. The bars are NOT there because the residents are afraid of the Ku Klux Klan, no they are there to protect the families from black criminals.

I have always maintained that we as Americans should have never allowed slavery. At the turn of the 18th century it was the wealthy landowners who promoted it and in the 20th century and now it is promoted by the Democratic party. Yes the coloreds have been enslaved by today's "coruptocrats".

That should get NY back to the (D)egeneracy of Chicago {"red-diaper" Mayor Rahm Emmanuel} in NO time.
