How much military time do you have, any at all? If you did/do have time in the military, then you'd know that our military are instructed that they do NOT have to obey ANY unlawful order(s) from a superior.

While I'm at it, if bin Laden WASN'T killed, then why hasn't he surfaced (no pun indented) since then? Imagine how embarrassing it would be if he was seen walking down the streets somewhere, saying, "You missed me! You missed me!" I haven't seen anything even suggesting that he wasn't taken out by the SEALS, just like it was reported in the news media.

"God's chosen"?
There's no use attempting to have a conversation with you.

Or he was already dead or never existed in the first place. A fictitious character created to be the boogeyman and the face of an enemy to draw public opinion into the invasion of the middle east. Who the fuck really knows other than an elite few! At this point, its hard for me to believe a freaking thing the government and its propaganda machines have to say. Like Shakespeare said, "the world is a stage and we are just mere actors in it" or something like that. Not so much a conspiracy theorists, just flat out do not trust and accept everything being thrown in my face anymore. They have been proven as liars and deceivers. Why start believing them now??

The public should make their own evaluations and not rely on the DEFCON Warning System for any strategic planning. Conspiracy-oriented web sites claimed that the U.S. defense readiness alert level was quietly raised to "DEFCON 3" in mid-June 2016.

Updated: Oct 16, 2016

CLAIM: The U.S. defense readiness alert level was quietly raised to "DEFCON 3" in mid-June 2016.

FALSE

EXAMPLE: [Collected via Twitter and e-mail, June 2016]

ORIGIN:On 20 June 2016 the felon-run conspiracy web site SuperStation95 reported that the U.S. had raised the national defense readiness alert level because "something very big is taking place":

At 9:43 PM Eastern US last night (Sunday, June 19) the Armed Forces of the United States were reportedly ordered to set condition "DEFCON 3." This is an extraordinary development and signals serious trouble, LIKELY requiring an expedited military response.

The defense readiness condition (DEFCON) is an alert state used by the United States Armed Forces.

The DEFCON system was developed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and unified and specified combatant commands. It prescribes five graduated levels of readiness (or states of alert) for the U.S. military. It increases in severity from DEFCON 5 (least severe) to DEFCON 1 (most severe) to match varying military situations.

To understand the severity of DefCon 3, it would help to realize that on September 10, 2001, the US Military was at DefCon 5. When the attacks of September 11 took place, the US Military was upgraded only to DefCon 4.

For the US to have implemented DefCon 3 at 9:43 PM EDT on a Sunday night, means something very big is taking place.

The SuperStation95 article (which leaned heavily on words like "likely" and "reportedly") appeared to include manually-published updates, the bulk of which were transcribed tweets lifted from (but not attributed to) the Twitter account of the (non-government related) DEFCON Warning System web site:

The DEFCON Warning System web site itself displayed the following message on 20 June 2016:

The_DEFCON_Warning_System
That page was appended with a disclaimer disclosing that the site was in no way affiliated with nor party to credible intelligence from any government agency or military branches, and that it "monitors world events" independently. As such, the actual "Armed Forces of the United States" had nothing to do with any DEFCON-related tweets:

The DEFCON Warning System is a private enterprise which monitors world events and assesses nuclear threats against the United States by national entities. It is not affiliated with any government agency and does not represent the alert status of any military branch. The public should make their own evaluations and not rely on the DEFCON Warning System for any strategic planning. At all times, citizens are urged to learn what steps to take in the event of a nuclear attack.

A commenter by the name of "Alex" responded to Superstation95 and, apparently be speaking on behalf of the Defcon Warning System site, stated:

I sincerely hope you know that the Defcon Warning System website it not government run and does not mean the US has changed the DEFCON level itself. This is just what WE think has happened, and it would be best for you to not spread misinformation and actually link your sources.

As stated, [the above disclaimer].

Contrary to initial appearances, Superstation95 is neither a radio "superstation" nor an actual news source, but rather a conspiracy site that peddles false claims and misinformation from Hal Turner, a felon who spent 33 months in prison for making death threats against three federal judges in 2009. (The information on the site's "Contact" page references Turner's criminal lawyer.)

The "DEFCON 3" claim (seemingly debunked by its originators in the comments) wasn't the first instance during which Superstation95 has advanced alarmist hoaxes or conspiracy theories on social media. Appearing in late 2015, Superstation95 wasted no time in embellishing what were often legitimate tragedies or unfortunate events with falsified but upsetting details. Among the most widely shared were claims a large group of Muslim men began firing upon campers and hikers in California, Fukushima radiation caused severe mutations in marine life, cargo ships mysteriously ground to a halt signaling an imminent global economic catastrophe, a deadly Las Vegas strip car crash involved a driver shouting "Allahu Akbar," the San Bernardino shooting was provoked by pork served at a holiday party shortly before the massacre, the Earth's "magnetosphere" inexplicably collapsed for two hours, a (nonexistent) suicide note left by a genuinely deceased ICE agent warned of impending FEMA camps and mass enslavement, and that articles about the Orlando shooting appeared on Google News hours before the attack.

None of Superstation95's opportunistic claims have ever come to fruition, and the site from which this item was sourced openly stated it had no access to any information about any DEFCON level changes other than speculation. In the time since the article discussed above began circulating, no media sources have reported on on any "unusual activity" or unexplained military maneuvers.

In an attempt to actually answer your question, without getting partisan, Eric Zuesse is an author of several "investigative books and articles. One of them, "Christ's Ventriloquist," is an investigation into how Christianity began. The author's theory is that Apostle Paul and the Disciple James (Jesus' brother) had a falling out regarding Jesus's divinity. Following the break-up, Paul took many of the early Christians into his camp and convinced them of Jesus' Spirit being a god; the third person of a Holy Trinity, equal (within the Jewish belief), of the Father and Son being equal parts of the same deity.

Anyway, Mr. Zuesse, in the article in question, has taken Biden's comments on today's Meet the Press and twisted them totally out of context. I know because I watched MTP today, just like I do every Sunday. The subject of discussion was what, if anything, would the US do Russia's cyber network(s) as retaliation against Russia's cyber attack on us. For ANYONE who may have watched the show, to have come to a different conclusion regarding Biden's answer, either wasn't paying attention or is looking for something to say to bring attention onto themselves.

For Zuesse to have written such an outlandish article, to me, is indicative of someone writing something, simply to bring attention to himself. Zeusee calls himself an "investigative journalist," among other titles. So, how could an "investigative journalist" NOT have taken the time and effort to have sat down and watched the entire interview?

Given the question, and Biden's answer, how could ANYONE, of sound mind, have come to the conclusion that Biden hinted about a nuclear war as a reprisal? Zeusse is 100% WRONG in his assessment of Biden's answer. And, if anyone chooses to agree with Zeusse, they're only showing their own inability to think for themselves, and, instead, are only looking for negative things to buttress their own political prejudices.

Here's a link to the MTP interview, if you're interested in seeing and hearing what Biden said, in his own words, and not those of Zeusse.

Thanks also for the superstation95 information. I come across their material regularly and get faked out every time, Then when I reach the end and see the superstation95 web link I am really annoyed at being suckered again.

Reminds me of my last visit to the Cheyenne Mountain complex about 1976. We had entered the tunnel and reached the outer blast door. We waited for it to open and entered. The door was enormously thick, about five feet of metal, and moved very slowly. we waited in front of the inner blast door, about 30 of us. The outer door closed with attendant audio signals and the inner door which should have started opening didn't move. The electronic DEFCON board above the door flashed to DEFCON three. There was some kind of wailing siren alert then silence. No one spoke, we waited at least three quarters of an hour without a word among thirty people. No one was looking around or gawking at his neighbor probably for fear someone would start breaking down. A new audio alert and a message "This has been a drill" and some other blather which I can't remember. The DEFCON status changed back and the inner door started to open. The longest ten minutes of my life.

I completed my tasks and left; I swore I would never return. Six trips to Colorado and five months underground were child's play compared to the 45 minutes spent between the blast doors in that place. It was enough for me, I would rather see the mushroom shaped clouds if they come.

You're quite welcome! I thank YOU for being willing to ask for help in vetting your sources. Too many of the right-wingers on the OPP refuse to check out their sources and swallow their propaganda book, line and sinker. Plus, they seem to enjoy being made fools of. I make it a point to vet any and all of my sources BEFORE I use them. I'm a registered Republican who's become a "political moderate."

I lost all of my faith in the GOPTP back when Bill Clinton was president and I saw the hypocrisy of those persecuting him, when they were guilty of the very same things, at the very same time. Now, they're trying to blame HRC for her husband's transgressions and he's NOT running for president.

I do see Trump downplaying his admitted womanizing, adultry and sexual predator activities in his attempt to become president. I can't see where he has any room to point fingers when he's just as guilty if not more so.

He's also admitting to not paying income taxes, cheating his contractors out of money he owns them, using foreign steel in his buildings, was fined for racial discrimination in his housing practices, has a "bromance" going on with Putin, is being investigated for having a connection to illegal activities regarding opening businesses in Cuba, well before the imbargo was lifted, is known to associate with crime syndicates that control parts of the construction business in NY and NJ, has bankrupted 6 times (not 4 times), and is guilty of using imported goods and putting his name in them for sale to the public. I could add more items to the list, but, I think you get the idea.

Plus, where are all if the crimes the GOPTP claims HRC is guilty of? If she's guilty, where are the indictments? The arrests? The trials?

The only trials I know of are the ones Trump is involved with dealing with his allegedly fraudulent Trump University and his allegedly fraudulent Trump Foundation. And, Trump is shooting himself by picking a fight with the judge over the judge's heritage. Now, just how smart is that?

To me, the worst parts are what he's said about out veterans and their families. He's said he's had his "own Vietnam" by surviving all the extramarital sex he's had over the years. That he's had to sacrifice and do hard work by building buildings all his life. He said McCain wasn't a hero because "... he allowed himself to get captured. I like men who aren't captured." Trump said he donated millions of dollars to charities for vets. Not one dime has been accounted for from him, personally. He berated the Muslim parents of a US Army officer who was KIA in the Middle East because they spoke out against him at the DNC.

Again, I could add to the list. Because of just these coments made by Trump, concerning vets and our families, he lost my vote early last year. BYW-I'm a US Navy veteran (NFO-RIO; Lt.JG), having served from 1971-73.

Come Nov 8th., I'm voting my conscience. It tells me that HRC is, by far, the more qualified to lead our ALREADY GREAT country.

“Obama Threatens Putin with Nuclear War”
by Eric Zuesse

“It’ll be at a time of our choosing,” says U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, on NBC’’s “Meet the Press,” to be aired on Sunday, October 16th. Interviewer Chuck Todd had asked him, “Why would he [Obama] send a message out to Putin?” ....
Obama is thus coercing us, before he coerces Putin. He’s telling us: If we vote against Hillary Clinton — if she loses this election — then President Obama has something in mind that we won’t like — and he won’t wait until the next President is inaugurated on 20 January 2017 to do it, whatever ‘it’ might be.

Obama here is threatening not only Vladimir Putin, but the American people. Even if Obama truly believes that he alone possesses all the power, he does not, unless he possesses the power to terrorize America’s voters to elect Hillary Clinton, even if we otherwise would not.”

I was in the Navy and know a bit. There is no doubt that Trump has his share of Zits, that is what makes this election so difficult.

Your comment anent Hillary's lack of indictments is disingenuous. The fix was made absolutely obvious by Bill Clinton, a potential witness and possible suspect conferring in private with the Attorney General three days before the announcement of the results of the FBI probe.

The AG abandoned her duty when she said she would abide by the decision of the FBI. She decides prosecution, the FBI Investigates and presents evidence for her to consider. James Comey stood and recited a litany of crimes which should have landed her in jail, then stated blather about intent when intent is not a requirement and then didn't recommend prosecution. One does not have to be a savant to know the fix was in.

She destroyed the rule of law -- ruined the FBI's reputation. Subsequent information about granting immunity to the only people who could testify against her and agreeing to destroy evidence completes the picture. No questions about what she did, no requirement to testify under oath, no recording or stenographic record what she said and nothing but a generic form to record agents impressions of what was said. The futility of regarding any of this as evidence allowed the director of the FBI to not even read his agent's reports before he recommended she not be prosecuted. Comey carefully distanced himself from anything to do with Clinton's interrogation lest he be req

And you want to use this criminal subversion of the justice process as a factor in her favor!

Trump is involved in business disputes and all the garbage about his taxes are a red herring. The laws are rigged to allow rich people to avoid taxes. He would be stupid if he didn't use those laws to not pay taxes. The same laws are available to you and me, we just have to make enough money to use them. If you don't like that, demand that an some percentage of gross income must without regard for how it was acquired be paid in taxes.

Hillary has made as many stupid insensitive remarks as Trump. For instance "at this point what difference does it make?" Four men died, one brutally mutilated and tortured and she simply wants to move on - what difference does it make indeed. In a better world the justice department wouldn't be crooked and her destruction of pertinent documents and obstruction of justice would have landed her in jail and Obama along with her.

Those super patriotic Muslim parents are scum to allow the sacrifice and heroic actions of their son to be prostituted for the benefit of a political hack. That is not honoring him nor remembering him with the dignity he deserves. It should be remembered that while he was attacking Trump it was Clinton and Obama who sent their son to die. Who is more reprehensible, a man who objects to being singled out on national television and castigated in this manner when he is totally innocent of the hero's death or the people who put him in his grave?

When you are compiling your list make one also for all the times Hillary has directly lied to the American people, the various congressional committees, culminating with her under oath responses to the FOIA court ordered written testimony. 'You can't ask that, I don't know and I can't remember.' Why should I want a women with so little knowledge of her assigned job and such poor memory to be President?
