Then, on Sept. 8, a popular Islamist preacher lit the fuse by screening a clip of the video on the ultraconservative Egyptian satellite channel El Nas. American diplomats in Cairo raised the alarm in Washington about a growing backlash, including calls for a protest outside their embassy.

No one mentioned it to the American diplomats in Libya. But Islamists in Benghazi were watching. Egyptian satellite networks like El Nas and El Rahma were widely available in Benghazi. It is Friday morning viewing, popular on the day of prayer, said one young Benghazi Islamist who turned up at the compound during the attack, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.

This article refutes the idea the YouTube video was the cause of the killings at Benghazi. If it had, there would have been a multitude of angry people outside the Mission at the time of the attack and not just a few.
So this whole New York Times article is a non-event. It is only something to position Hillary for 2016, as is said in the link.
If there is blame to be placed here it is Obama delaying and obscuring the truth for over a year.

Hillary is just as guilty as Obama for what happened at Benghazi. She has her hands dirty too and is doing everything she can to distance herself from it so she can run for President next time. She could never win in an honest election, but with that Chicago machine going for her like it did for Obama, she could pull it off.

One of the main reasons for impeaching Obama is to show her involvement right along with his for that disaster. If she gets in, she will just finish off killing this nation and we will never get it back then. She and Obama have to be stopped now. Waiting until the next election is to long to wait.

I'll go with Hilary. But you've started a little too far down the chain. The real culprit is the man at the top. He is all for appeasing the Arab hoard all through the Middle East and Northern Africa at any cost. After all, they are his brethren. It has cost us 4 lives in Benghazi and our world-wide reputation. Don't forget Obama, then Hilary and, of course Susan Rice. There are more farther down the food chain, but the blame lies HERE.

Obama if was in the business world he would have let Clinton go but instead allowed Rice to go on TV and blame the video. Now that turns out to be true but gets them in deeper. If it's true that they knew before hand and did nothing they might have as well pulled the trigger themselves.
