I have always made it clear that I am a constitutional republican.

The following article from the constitution should make it clear.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Article 4 Section 4. The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I have supported the republican party through my voting record as a registered republican.

But because of the childish and cowardly behavior of the current republican leaders who refuse to support Donald Trump, I will now register as an independent.

And one thought that comes to mind when I ponder my decision is, " Who Cares " ?

My answer is, " I Care ", and for now that's all that matters to me.

I stand by Trump and the rest can all go pound sand.

Supporting a 3rd party, or no party in Congress accomplishes as much as it does in a POTUS election.

Agreed! Those Trump naysayers are either the original never-Trump supporters, or poor losers like Jeb, et al.

I have never been a member of any political party, or group. I have always voted for who I thought had the best ideas for my community, state, and nation.

Anymore, I feel like I'm forced to have to vote against something instead of for something.

The waters have become so muddied now that you never know what you'll get.

I have never registered for any Political Party & never will.

I see much like you there is much that is wrong with the way things are going. I see that there will not be any good coming from any thing out of D.C good. for the General Public any time soon.

Well I am glad that You are going to be independent but why would you really have to register for that? Are you afraid to stand alone with your views & be 1 of many that do the same.

I feel that we need to lend our support to those that would stand alone, but just what is the best way to do that? That is an issue I could stand by you even if we were to choose different candidates. The point is it is up to Us to choose who we can vote for. That would be independent.

A good strong third party is long overdue.

The voter registration application has an option in block 7 to enter the party of your choice.

I choose to enter independent.

The question you asked in your response prompts me to ask ; What part of the word, "independent", do you not understand ?

Read your question and consider the definitions in the terms used.

Well that's the rub isn't it? Our founding fathers warned us of this two party system that we've allowed to dictate our choices. They knew the propensity of man to be corrupt with power and the quest to retain it.

Therefore, I am planting my flag on the hill and refusing to be bullied by the two anymore. Unfortunately, there aren't very strong choices otherwise due to lack of support from the people. It takes a lot of money and will.

I would vote Libertarian, but they keep trotting out lame candidates like Gary Johnson every election cycle, so I can't go there. However, if Rand Paul were to run on the Libertarian ticket, I'd be all in. But, he won't because he needs the Republican establishment GOP money to support his campaign. Follow the money honey.

I think I will cast my vote for Darrell Castle of the Constitution party. He has no chance of winning, but he and the Constitution Party best represent my principles and values. And from now on, that is how I will cast my vote....With my conscience as to whom I believe best represents me and my values. The Constitution and conservative values is always a good start.

DARRELL CASTLE - 2016

Honestly, I fear that it is too far gone to repair. 1 person sitting in the Oval Office can't do it. The system has been corrupted by money and influence for us little people to change. Unless we revolt. Even then, we won't win.

All it takes is the people getting behind a solid candidate. I don't think being loyal to a party is a good idea...ever. Look what's happened to the Republican party. They used to be considered the party of conservatism. That train left the station a long time ago...right after Reagan's two terms expired. Nowadays, there are few that can even articulate what conservatism is. It's been bastardized over the past 25 years that it's "conservatism" in name only.

Take lawn mowers for example: You have a lawn mower company make itself a name like Troy-Bilt. And everybody loves the quality and reliability of Troy-Bilt products. Then, one day, another company comes along and buys Troy-Bilt. On the outside, the lawn mowers look just like the old reliable Troy-Bilts...but in reality, the quality isn't near what it once was. It's now Troy-Bilt in name only. Sound familiar? The progressives have bought the Republican name and now they appear to own the Conservative brand.

Unless we, as true conservatives (not in name only), stand up and plant our flag and say NO MORE and start educating others, stop voting for "the lesser of two evils"...the progressives will continue to destroy and erode all that is good an holy about our country. They will continue to distort what our values and principles are and what we truly stand for. What say you?

If Donald wins it could well put an end to the GOP as we know it and I'm with you pulling on the rope ringing the bell of their death knell. Too many cowards. They disgust me too.

I don't have a Conservative candidate. All I have is someone much better than Hillary.

In 88, 2000 and 2004 we didn't have perfect Conservatives by any means, buy I could vote for them with af full heart.

HWBush(re-election),Dole, McCain, Romney... Now Trump... They are all better than their opponents.
