You asked some questions and I know you intended them as statements of your views and you probably have no interest in mine. That is one of my primary differences with you authoritarians. However, I will respond as if you were really seeking my opinions.
I think America is in good standing now with some other nations and with others, not so much. I am sure we are not in good standing with Iraq as we have destroyed their country with our invasion.

I don’t believe America is in any more threat of economic collapse than it has ever been. Capitalism has its weaknesses as well as its strengths, but one weakness of capitalism is its economic cycles.

Crime is a constant threat to civil democratic societies such as ours and crime is part of human nature and terrorism is crime that we will defeat. I take the threat of terrorism seriously, but we need to understand that it is symptomatic of some underlying evils that require our attention and actions.

Those are my opinions at the present time and with the information I have. My opinions are open to change as circumstances and the information I have changes.

What would your answers be to the questions you asked me?

No, I did not..I asked because I wanted your position on such...it helps understand you with nothing more than that, as to why...

I am not an authoritarian at all, but I do look for people's opinion as an opportunity to learn more....

Thank You for sharing your opinion...Nice to see a glimpse of the man "in thought..."

Believe it or not I see things as you do to a certain degree..Optimism is healthy and needed especially in our times of duress right now...

As for Iraq, I basically agree....We sure didn't better the conditions of anything and yes, like other countries in the Middle East our " meddling to change dictators" has worsened an already egregious situation..Their wars between each other have been dang near in existence since the beginning of time and will be that way until the end of time...

After 9~11 everyone wanted revenge...From that we are now entrenched with worse and more...
I say pull our troops and involvement..Let them kill each other off if that is to be..Defend our border, they try coming in, Swift action to remove..They attack on our soil, they die!! Harsh? I think not...

I do believe the economy numbers are fabricated and while we had some recovery, most of it, employment wise, was growth of government and then construction..I believe just as 08, government is staving off another recession in the serious making...GDP to trade and spending â true measure..Unemployment numbers a joke and part time jobs with no growth of economy spending all indicators, rather tham misleading numbers, especially right now during election year..
Could be worse, yes, I agree, but worse then tips us into the beginning of recession that will come quickly..

Crime~ I agree with all you said...Attributed to being used to oppress us, and create division for the most part..and, absolutely "the evil" of intended acts, greed, over throw and demise within a multitude of nations, not just ours..

You demonstrate the kind of mindless partisanship that is the core of the problem. Do you actually believe that Republicans dump their criminal politicians and Democrats don't? We don't reject politicians who lie, are on the take and are, in fact criminals if they are from our party, only if they are of the other party (tribe?). You seem to believe half half - of Americans are extremely bad and your half is extremely righteous and extremely good. Do you believe the , you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours types are in one party and not in the other? America is better when we make some effort to work together.

As I have pointed out before, you are manifesting your suffering thought your extremist, hateful comments about politics. Politics is an avoidance of recognizing your suffering and dealing with it directly. Can you share the causes of your suffering with us. It is difficult for us not to react to your hate with anger when we don't know the cause of your pain.

Glaucon, you seem to have a thing about me. Why? Are you afraid of my words? Are they painful, like acid would be were it poured on your skin? What do you fear about this old woman? My words cannot hurt you, neither can your nastiness hurt me. Why don't you simply take a cold shower when you see my name on a comment, rather than behave as though I have any power whatsoever? I've told you before to leave me alone, yet you cannot seem to accomplish that simple task. There is something that drives you to try to harrass me - and it is a lost cause. Give up. Take a vacation, take a cold shower, take a hike.

It's not hate for Americans, it's detest for what is happening in this amazing country of ours, created by those we put in office to lead us into a better Living and once in become the elitist group that creates more hardship, has no financial goals for country other than what goes into their pockets...Sell Out the whole lot of them..

There was a time honor of our country was first, now it is nothing, exhibited by the fact of same ole, same ole for how many decades now??
I can understand sometimes making bad decisions on issues, but not constantly making them with nothing ever changing but creating more hardship for the very people that put them in office...

We are moving, just not in the right direction....and people are done with that...

You are thinking and sound open to the opinions of others. I agree with most of what you said and agree with most of the assumptions you make about causes and effects.

No one I know of has been able to accurately predict the economy so I take predictions, even by the most respected economists, as fantasy mostly based on their politics or their wishful thinking. I can't think of much I believe with absolute certainty as the only certainty is change and circumstance change, I want to continue to change my opinions consistently with changes.

It is good to hear your opinions.

Democracies are not neat and because they are built on consensus, about half always think we are going the wrong way and half think we are going in the right way. There is never a time that everyone is happy and their are some people who are never happy. I think America is great and that it tends to take three steps forward and two steps back. I have great confidence that it will always be messy.....and great.

No, we can not accurately predict the economy.. The fluctuation is too sensitive to what the markets do in trade given any hour of the day...

What we do know is economic growth of it comes in spending into it and we have little to work with on the whole ...

We also have no true measurement of debt, yet we always have millions to give other countries..Is it good we live in plastic word of credit income, debt anymore???

Thank You, I enjoy this type of discussion..

Well, I can not disagree with this statement either...

Our indifference in what we all believe individually makes us the creatures we are...Good and bad create challenge to improve ...

We do take three ahead, two back..We are a young nation, infants in the learning curve, but we'll make it..It's the goal in achieving that steadies the course to continued improvement..
In our choices we define the future...Good thing we are all different..A blessing and our demise...lol..

Family debt and nation's debt are very different issues and judging them by the same standards doesn't get us to understanding and managing.

Most of the things that affect or economy are in our beliefs, not in reality. Our economy is tied to the world economy. Rumors and gossip have large affects of economies and that is why most future economic circumstances are impossible to predict with reasonable accuracy.

However, some economic conditions would seem to be predictable. Banks were loaning large amounts of money for the purchases of homes when one didn't have be a financial whiz to know that a couple who picked strawberries seasonally and earned $22,000 per year would not be able to afford a $500,000 house. And so the bubble burst and that was predictable, but apparently not to the bankers who made the government backed loans.

We have a situation now that the average worker does not receive income that would allow him/her to afford the average house price and that just won't work.

It is good to read and consider your comments and views.

You have shifted to the topic of your obvious pain and suffering to attacks on me. Have you asked yourself why you need to do that?

You are a major purveyor of rabid, mindless hate on this site and their are several others who are equally obsessed with avoiding their pain and suffering. It is good to discuss the real causes of your hate rather than making up hate for politicians and other's political views.
