I apologize for the length of this post. I dislike reading long ramblings and assume others also do, but I was unable to condense my thoughts.

I am sorry for misinterpreting your comments. You and I will never see the issues the same, but I will say you are the only one on your side who is capable of intelligent discourse with one such as myself on the right.

I did not think you meant to silence me. I will pick an argument with anyone on OPP because my inner troll loves the battle, but my ego is not so fragile that I will pester continually when I am ignored. Many on your side including some very close college educated relations have sought to correct my speech. Now I understand that some speech is offensive, but the speech correction has gone far beyond that. I have concluded that it is far better to be offensive than to have my ideas silenced. I will therefore put up with quite a bit of disrespect from lefties because I like to think I allow them the same free speech I demand.

I see my arguments regarding the degrading of the Second Amendment were not as strong as I had hoped. Let me see if I can do it better. What we have is a war of incrementalism. Again I see many parallels between your battle for Gay Rights and the battle to preserve gun rights. You guys won incremental battles and suddenly our side woke up to Gay Marriage and intergender restrooms. It was a hell of a shock for us.

Hillary and her allies will not attack firearms directly. They will start with assault weapons and work down. Then you have the battles in the provincial areas. I mean liberal cities like DC and Chicago. The restrictions there fly in the face of the Constitution. My side will challenge those restrictions all the way up to the Supreme Court. Once Hillary's new Justices slap those challenges down it will be far easier for other local and state entities to restrict gun rights.

When enough local areas have unchallenged gun restrictions, support for gun rights will erode and then a National Gun Ban becomes possible and very likely.

I expect as we get closer to November and we have more TV debates that the posts on OPP will get more entertaining.
This is the first time I have ever reached an accord with somebody on your side on this board. Whenever I have stopped throwing rocks and tried to be civil, I have always regretted it. Agreeing to disagree with out being disagreeable is new to me and forgive me if I slip now and then. Do not expect me to be persuaded as I do not expect you to give anything away to me, but I hope the dialogue will be useful to both of us. It is good to find intelligent life on the other side of the great divide. I hope to be able to hold up my end of the conversations.

I'll do so if needed, I buy mine, practicing just the other day..Different envirnoment though..I wasn't in a closed in room practicing I was free outside, in the woods, where you could really practice...Move n shoot, more difficult to hit your target, yet invigorating when you did...

Unite in the face of it is what we need to do...While we recognise that, it is becoming more difficult to hold in belief...

Then too, we must ask, who is the enemy?? I mean the real enemy???
