As you can imagine, this rumor has been investigated by several outlets. Before I refer to them, let me say the following:

1. Virtually the only thing completely true in the forwarded email that we received is that Valerie Jarrett is an American citizen. The rest is misleading, distortion, or outright falsehood.

2. Ms. Jarrett was indeed born in Iran in 1956 – to American parents. Her father, James E. Bowman, was a physician living in Iran serving as chair of pathology at Nemazee Hospital in Shiraz, as part of an American program to help developing nations. Note that the Iranian Revolution was not until 1979, some 23 years later.

3. Because neither of Ms. Jarrett’s parents were ethnic Iranians, and because she did not remain in Iran past the age of 18 (she left with her parents about the age of 5), under my understanding of Iranian law, she had no chance to be an Iranian citizen, even if she wanted to be. 4. There is no evidence that either her parents or Ms. Jarrett were ever Muslims. At the moment, I can’t find her religion (if any)…but neither can other sources like Wikipedia and Snopes. But it’s unlikely that a James E. Bowman and Barbara Taylor Bowman, both American-born U.S. citizens from Washington, D.C. and Chicago, were Muslim, and Ms. Jarrett left Iran about the age of 5 and probably never had a chance to even know what a Muslim was.

5. www.snopes.com investigated this rumor recently, and not only did not find any references to these quotes in the mainstream literature, but could find references to these quotes only in certain right-wing websites and blogs that habitually make up rumors then repeat them ad nauseam. 6. Ms. Jarrett is “a Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama. She oversees the Offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs and chairs the White House Council on Women and Girls.” See http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/staff/valerie-jarrett/. She does have tremendous access to the President. She is noted for being fiercely loyal to him as seen in a Wall Street Journal article ( http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB121055336572783989 ). This can be seen in her willingness to say things aren’t particularly true in order to defend President Obama, such as when she said “Nothing in #Obamacare forces people out of their health plans.” Of course, this was not at all true, as Politifact points out, since a number of Americans lost their health care coverage because it didn’t meet the minimum standards that the Affordable Care Act set. This email shows yet another example of a certain kind of American who feels that any sort of falsehood is justifiable against his or her political enemies. BREAKING: Khizr Khan’s History EXPOSED… Secret Life From 30 Years Ago Comes Out

Instead of reporting the real news, the liberal media have been positively salivating over Khizr Khan, the father of an American Army captain killed during the war on terror, who called out Donald Trump during the Democratic National Convention.

While the media have had no problem criticizing military families who have called out Hillary Clinton, because Khan is a Muslim they have all flocked to his defense, acting as if he is the victim in this unpleasant exchange.

However, the Daily Caller reported that it turns out that Khan may not be the peace-loving Muslim that many liberals have claimed he is.

Khizr Khan is an attorney, and he reportedly wrote an article in the Houston Journal of International Law in 1983 where he stressed that Shariah law was the purest form a law and should come above all other forms of law.

Just as a healthy reminder, Shariah law is the legal system where women can’t do anything, and you can be killed simply for having your hair cut the wrong way.

That’s the type of system Mr. Khan seems to think is wonderful.

“The invariable and basic rules of Islamic Law are only those prescribed in the Shari’ah (Quran and Sunnah), which are few and limited,” Khan wrote. “All other juridical works which have been written during more than thirteen centuries are very rich and indispensable, but they must always be subordinated to the Shari’ah and open to reconsideration by all Muslims.”

So in Khan’s mind, the Constitution of the United States should be subordinated to Shariah law. That doesn’t exactly sound like something a patriotic American would say.

While Trump may have crossed the line with some of the things he said, liberals are way out of line flocking to Khan’s defense just because of his religion.

Maybe they should take a look at his past before they decide that he is perfect.

During the convention, Khizr Khan, father of Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq in 2004, used his platform to denigrate GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The Gateway Pundit reported Monday that Khan may have other motives behind his speech besides grief — specifically his reported ties to The Muslim Brotherhood.

Khan wrote articles regarding OPEC – the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries – (OPEC) and Sharia Law. The members of OPEC are primarily Muslim countries. In one of Khan’s writings he shows his appreciation for an icon of the Muslim Brotherhood, Said Ramadan. Ramadan is known as a Muslim Brotherhood agent and was the son-in-law of Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Muslim Brotherhood is known as the parent to all terrorist groups, including ISIS.

Khan currently runs a law office in New York City that specializes in immigration services. Another website tells us that Khan used to work for Hogan & Hartson and Lovells, which has ties to the Clinton Foundation.
