Rosa Parks chose to sit. It started a revolution, another one is needed. Cops killing people, and never being held accountable. Killers shooting up schools, no votes on fixing the problem. Private prisons where judges get a kickback for long unwarranted sentences. Three recent cases where white boys got probation for rape convictions, while innocent Blacks, proven by DNA still have trouble getting out of jail. Yes, it is time to sit or stand for what is right.

The thing that strikes me odd about this guy is he goes and does this yet, he goes and says f'n n....rs and gets fined for it. So is he for the black community, against the black community, or uses him to fit his needs as the den party does? Enquirung minds want to know

Is that in his contract? If not the NFL could be sued for violating Kaepernick's first amendment rights!

His contract gives 49ers a variety of ways to get rid of him with out paying his sorry ass. His is not guaranteed money. Then he can go play in Kenya.

I understand your mental capacity for drivel. In case you missed it. Conservatives aren't the only ones with these admirable qualities.

Clarence Thomas is a P.O.S., and he, and Ben Carson are a disgrace to their race...Just like the pizza pusher...

You mean they should both be on welfare, going around looting and burning down their own neighborhoods, getting young women pregnant, shooting each other with stolen guns, etc., etc., etc.?

LJ, I agree 100 % with your words. I did not like his actions. BUT whether we like it or not, that is his right to do what he did. I defend the clerk in KY rights not to give marriage licenses to homosexuals, just as I defend his to not stand. We can not chose which to defend and which not to, it's all or nothing. I also agree that if he is not proud here, then he is welcome to go find somewhere he can say he is proud of. Your no comparison at all, is spot on as well.

Kaepernick didn't exactly have the right to do what he did. He is an employee of the San Francisco 49ers as well as the NFL and is therefore subject to their rules. He has a right to do what he likes on his own time, but once he enters the stadium he is working. You don't have the right to free speech at your workplace if your employer finds if offensive, and you can be disciplined accordingly.

WRONG! Like I just said, you don't have total first amendment rights when it comes to your employment. Do you think you could go to workplace and start ranting about how bad white people are and get away with it? Of course you couldn't, and your employer would have every right to discipline you, be it with a warning, suspension, or termination.

Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown appeared on the Monday night edition of the NFL Network's 'NFL Total Access' to speak about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his decision to not stand for the United States of America's National Anthem.

"I listened to him and he makes all the sense in the world. He's within his rights and he's telling the truth as he sees it. I am with him 100 percent. ... Now if you ask me 'Would I do that?' No I won't, because I see it a little differently. I'm an American citizen, I pay my taxes, I want my equal rights but this is my country, and consequently I don't want to open up for ISIS or anybody that will take away what we've already gained," Brown explained.

Brown acted as a civil rights activist during his playing career. He was inspired by boxer Muhammad Ali's decision to not enlist in the military for religious reasons. The former Cleveland Browns running back says that he is excited to see athletes using their platform for change.

"Absolutely. I think Pandora's Box is open. I'm very happy that it is. So many years, we had the great Michael Jordan who stated that Republicans buy sneakers, too. ... And for a couple of generations it was about making money, not messing with your image. And the agents became the pivotal figure for a lot of these guys. And the agents kept reminding them that you have to be this all-American boy to make these kind of dollars and these dollars are astronomical dollars. So the money came into the culture and created a couple of generations of individuals who did not want to speak up."

Kaepernick is the latest professional athlete to speak out. LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul spoke out at the ESPY's earlier this year.

Did Jim Brown see Kap wearing a MalcolmX hat and a Castro shirt? The guy actually wore a shirt of a communist who hated blacks. Now what kind of sense is that?

Why would I complain if a black person calls a black person that? It happens all the time. I'm not complaining now, just find it odd that he does this stupid crap talking about this falsehood oppression yet he goes and says f'n n....rs. Show just how ignorant he is as your post shows your ignorance as well.

Looking at the title of this thread the poster has to be a moron of astronomical proportions. How can anyone with a brain compare a NFL football player to Supreme Court Jurist or a Brilliant Neurosurgeon? I mean its ludicrous. Colin has raised the ire of patriots and imposters alike. Colin has demonstrated he has more guts than a certain NBA player who has been worshipped as a God! I hope he has the strength to survive the storm that's coming. Comment if you dare! I've only just begun to pop off!

No comparison. Two are brilliant men, and one is a washed up, spoilt rotten loser who needed to create a fuss so he could hop on the grievence gravy train in order to support his accustomed lifestyle, and send a few bucks to ISIS.
