It seems that you have some things backwards. The GOP has never met a war it did not like. Their corporate masters like to use up those weapons so that they can sell more and make more money.

if i remember, it was kennedy and johnson who dragged us through that 10 year altercation in vietnam.the democrats. very costly.

When Johnson passed the civil rights bill, it started an exodus of dixiecrats.

Johnson did that so the democrats would get the black vote. Eisenhower had already integrated the schools that Al Gore's dad filibustered. Why would they join the GOP?
They were always against slavery and were for integration? In fact, why are you not a Republican? Good luck with your fairy tale.

Looking at many many different polling organizations it looks as if Clinton has if not an absolute landslide at least a comfortable win in electoral votes. Reading here many of you seem to think Trump will win big. My question to you is do you honestly think Trump will win and what are your further political plans when he looses? Do you think Trump has harmed the republican party?

I don't and after his loss, the goal will be as usual, to make HRC a one-termer and unify the party by being anti-HRC. I just don't see a chance especially now after the immigrant deportation policy change. He's sacrificing his base in attempt to attract independents. He's savvy in marketing but I wonder if he bit off more than he can chew? You figure independents are aware of the tactic and won't buy it. Meanwhile, base feels betrayed. Maybe not bc base mostly white male who are loyal no matter what change he makes bc unified by social media. While social media brought together the young and minorities to an election in '08 and '12, it has tapped the sleeping giant of white male who connect with the Trump message. Trump has been making new rules and standards in presidential campaigning. Like I wrote earlier, I don't think the loyal base will be enough to get him elected. While vast, the white male group don't go around knocking on doors or making phone calls or organizing rallies like the young and minority do for the libs.

If he loses like I think, HRC may not act like BHO no-drama to the one-term strategy of oppose everything. If the economy does ok, she could persist another round. BHO showed the economy did worse and he went another round anyway. Also, she could react in kind to the anti-HRC strategy with anti-gop and that would be an interesting political test. She seems more the fighter than BHO who prefers to jest and joke about the criticisms rather than call out names and go after it. I could see HRC saying she doesn't give a shit if she hurts the feelings of the house or senate leader. She will see what happened to BHO agenda's that basically became EO's that then got tied up in court. There could end up being budget and debt ceiling hostage taking year after year to force her. Another thing is Obamacare and remember when that happened, the gop got stronger. It could be similar because if libs take senate and enough of house she will increase Obamacare and that would be a unifier for a gop return.

It kind of seems like he's hurt the party with so many diehard, lifelong party leaders in the dumps over him. They have a lot of admirers and you figure they'd combine their energies to make sure he never happens again. There's also the chance of splintering bc hurt like that takes a long time to forget and elephants never forget. But it's too soon to tell if it is permanent damage or recoverable damage and it all could depend if he stays in or becomes invisible like Mitt, McCain, Dole, etc.

Nope. They won't, or at least they'll never admit anything.

All they read is liberal biased poll results and say they are fair samplings. Trump's polls reflect an even distribution from all sides and show he is ahead. Come the next Assange revelation Trump's lead will increase. Then we have more people seeing the Hillary movie, and the Morris book. She is freaking and telling everyone to pretend she is way out ahead. She isn't.

She has more to lose than the WH. When Trump is elected she will be provided medical treatment at the federal crowbar hotel. And she knows it.

No, Trump hasn't hurt the GOP. Who really Hurt the GOP are the rinos within the GOP. The main point of focus should be: NOT MORE OF THE PROGRESSIVES STATUS QUO.. Bottom line: if you're happy and satisfied with the new and improved progressive agenda and want it to continue to full fruition, the choice is simple. HILLARY.

If you want a true hope and change, well, Trump is the answer. Albeit, there is such a small amount, infinitesimal amount known about Trump as compared to the Political shenanigans of Obama and the Clintons that have occurred in the past and continues today, the choice is simple. SO, Just two choices, blue or red… you know the past,BLUE! What future do you want to take a chance on? a chance for correction or not?

Yeah, good things will happen. The second amendment will disappear, more left leaning SCOTUS judges will be appointed to help support all the radical changes to be made in order to complete the progressive agenda.

I'll indulge you that this is one time you are sincerely trying to open a dialogue rather than trying to torpedo us.

If Trump keeps hitting Hillary about her lies, he will likely win but if he doesn't, it will just show how much people just don't care about veracity.

He has not hurt the Republican Party. He has re-ignited the old Right position of non-intevention advocated by Sen. Robert Taft of Ohio, Mr. Republican throughout Franklin D. Roosevelt's fascist & communist inspired New Deal.

Since Dwight D. Eisenhower vanquished the non-interventionists at the 1952 Republican National Convention, the progressive initiative of impressing our system on the rest of the world, has held sway in the GOP.
I'll indulge you that this is one time you are sin... (show quote)

The new deal was in response to the fact that 28 million Americans by 1933 had no visible means of support some were starving to death the rails below the passengers had more hoboes aboard than paying passengers in the cars above five thousand banks had failed The Socialist and communist parties and the CIO were demanding government intervention in order to alleviate the human suffering FDR was an aristocrat but got the message and from 1933 to 1941 hired 11 million workers he said to the wealth elite you are going to have to pay for it because you have the money 80 % of the people had no savings so we propose that all income over $25,000 be taxed 100 % Well the wealthy elite did not like that proposal so a compromise was fashioned at 91 % for the next 20 years they tolerated it the next 20 years they avoided the taxes and regulations after that they choose to get rid of them both bust the labor unions decimate the middle class the new deal had created rekindle the gilded age with the wealth accruing to the top once more proving you can never reform capitalism because the business class will find a way around them. The only way to reform capitalism permanently is to fundamentally transform the system and the way it functions
