A camel through the eye of a needle
The accounts are in Matthew 19:16 - 22, Mark 10:17 - 22, and Luke 18:18 - 23. The details are different in all three accounts. After all three accounts Jesus says, “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.” In Jesus time the city of Jerusalem was surrounded by a wall. It contained a large gate for daytime use, and a smaller gate used at night called a needle gate. The needle gate was small enough for a man to walk through. A camel with goods for market had to put down the goods and get on his knees. For a camel to get through a needle gate was a time consuming tedious process. But it was possible. We all have to deny ourselves and follow Christ. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. This is easier if you have little.
Prosperity and wealth are a blessing from God. There is nothing wrong with being rich. It matters what you do with your money. We are to help others who are less fortunate than we are. If we do this, God will bless us. "The liberal soul shall be made fat" (prosperous). God takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servant and he's the greatest salesman in the world. He is a merchant and he calls people. That is his prophesied occupation, not a carpenter.

Oh, susanblange. You have called JESUS a magician. Please please let the Holy Spirit give you truth.
