How is blocking the conservative agenda giving us a better life? Record numbers of people on food stamps? 75% of Obama jobs created are part time. Please elaborate

You have quite evidently never studied history or read the book, "The Rise and Fall of The Roman Empire". If you want a true perspective of how our great Country is being systematically destroyed, might I suggest you acquire a copy and read it. If you are unable to afford it, check it out from your local library. It is quite illuminating. Another fine book to read, if you care to is Ayn Rands "Atlas Shrugged" While it is fictional, it is a blueprint of the destruction of our Country. You will probably poo-poo it because it was written (about 50 years ago) by what would be described in today's parlance as a Conservative. However, she lived some of it in her native Russia before emigrating to the United States, where she found the freedom she sought.

Rome fell for a multitude of reasons , one the governance of the empire was cumbersome (the reason it split in two) , the Empire depended on conquest for it's economic viability and when expansion stopped the Empire started to stagnate all of the other reasons are just symptomatic of those reasons, I have read a lot of history but unlike you I learned from what I read

one of two things are true one if you think Obama is a socialist you don't understand socialism , two if he is a socialist he has to be the worst one in history as he has violated most of the tenants of socialism , so which is it
The tax code is a compilation of changes wrought by our government since tax laws were enacted .
We are not going the way of Rome , that is just rhetorical fluff .

I beg to differ. Obama is a socialist. The way he is doing it is insidious. By using the power of government, the Dems rule by coercion and pressure. The IRS is a key to this. Not to mention the EPA and other government agencies. I understand socialism quite well, and this country is moving in that direction. Socialism is not bad in concept, it's just that it does not work in reality. The Obamacare is about control, not healthcare. Where is there anything about tort reform? Nothing about that which drives costs up. It is about control...period. It's been tried before and left the people poorer and the consequences have been ruin. For a prosperous nation, we need accountability, and some clear rules of law. The crumbling of America starts with the politicians who take...Yes, take our money and betray the citizens. History shows that mistakes repeat. I feel sorry for my kids.....They will pay and never know the great country that fell before our eyes. Happy New Year!

They are fine with their pockets being picked by Big Money but if some poor soul gets a few bucks form the government their world is going to end.

Floyd, that "that once was" isn't 'slipping' away, it is like a freight train running out of control, full steam ahead.

Who's pockets are being picked by Big Money? It appears, to me, that the Congress Critters are stuffing their pockets from the largess provided by the Crony Capitalists. How can those Congress Critters amass such fortunes while 'earning', at the present time, $173,000 per annum? You seem to forget that "some poor souls" few bucks from the Government are taken from those poor suckers who work for a living. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not advocating that we don't help the TRULY needy, but I do resent giving the able bodied money, including illegal aliens, who have found the gravy train and are exploiting it.

I beg to differ with you. Even the concept of Socialism is bad, and anathema to any freedom loving society. The balance of your post I concur with.

the stock market crash of 2007 is the reason we have such a overload of people on assistance , and the increase in part time workers is a strategy of business to increase their bottom line it is a means to increase profits not a political strategy , blaming the president(any president) for decisions business makes is so full of error as to be ludicrous evidenced by your opinions

If you were/are desirous of a better country and a better life, might I suggest you return to Viet Nam. They seem to have what you are evidently missing in this country.

Perhaps if those poor working suckers were treated better for what they do there would be just a few less problems.

Why is greed only good if you have a lot. But if you are poor & wanting a bit of the pie bad?

Have you no foresight as to where this is a leading to.

To you truly take pride in these actions.

And what caused the Stock Market to crash? It was the insidious manipulation by the Democrats that caused the 'Housing Bubble' to burst. That caused a ripple effect on the entire economy.

While it may not be advantageous for you to return to Viet Nam, it appears that that is the form of government for which you are advocating .

Yeah....How do they do that? When the lawmakers make the laws, it always benefits them first, the people last. Government is like a fungus....it keeps growing and you have to stop it at it's roots.
I'm all for free markets, with a caveat...You have to have rules that are enforceable. What we have now is a " Justice" department that can't be trusted. We have a President that can't be trusted. You have a congress that can't be trusted. Black, white, green or purple, we have lost the way. I don't give a flippin' rats ass about your color or sexual orientation...Just use common f'in sense. You don't just stand by when the house is burning and say, " How did that happen?".... You put the fire out and make sure it doesn't happen again.
I swear to god, if anyone considers Hillary Clinton for president in 2016, not only will I renounce my citizenship , but, I will disavow my relationship with anyone who votes for her

only in your dreams do I advocate what you believe I do , I love the form of government we have and it will correct the imbalances the conservatives have created in time , probably longer than I would like but we will get back to normal, and you will have more to squeal about
