I don't get it at times I question myself with these people but I have seen on many occasions Obama reaching out to the right. I know he has asked them to create there own healthcare package, he's asked to to create an immigration bill, gun control bill just to see if he could find common ground. Earley on Boehner and Obama worked a balanced budget,tax reform, and our social programs they both claimed that in 20 years it would have lowered the deficit by $1.2 trillion and the tea party folks had a fit because it involved a 3% tax increase on the upper 1% of wage earners and some cuts to the defense department. There were social programs that democrats had problems with but were willing to debate options so it never even made it to the floor for debate the republican killed in there caucus, and I believe that's when we ended up with sequestration.
