Oh, you don't believe me?
Long before RAP, there was Square Dancing and a person
leading the dance moves was known as a "Caller".
Today, they are "Rappers".
Just add a bass beat (you know, that thump)
to the verse below and there you have it.
(Some square dance lyrics, So sing along))
Ladies do and the gents you know,
It's right by right by wrong you go,
And you can't go to heaven while you carry on so,
And it's home little gal and do-si-do,
And it may be the last time, I don't know,
And oh by gosh and oh by Joe.
Circle eight and you get straight,
And we'll all go east on a westbound freight,
And knock down Sal and a pick up Kate,
And we'll all join hands and circle eight.
Swing your partner round and round,
And turn your corner upside down.
And turn your corner like swingin' on a gate,
And meet your partner for a grand chain eight,
And hurry up boys and don't be late.
Chew your tobacco and rub your snuff,
And meet your honey and strut your stuff.
Right foot up and a left foot down,
And make that big foot jar the ground,
I'm just sayin'
"So wave your hands in the air
and scream like you just don't care.
Get off your rump and vote for TRUMP
'cause he is the one who can fix this dump"
(mike drop)

Have you listened to the song?

I don't know how to break this to you BUT
square dancing dates back to something like
the 1,400's. in Europe.
And yes, I have seen the video
and probably another 10 like it using the
cards to go along with the words.
So roll a "fatty", listen to the hippy
and look up in the sky.

Dillon's song just sounds more rappy to me!

Sounds like you really like yourself a lot!
This has been fun.
Now that name calling has begun.
I'm done!
Go play with your canary.
And always stay ordinary.
