It would depend on what the churches business was whether government can interfere in it. As for Church's not being taxed--all non profits aren't taxed. When their business is to line the pockets of their 'leaders' every penny they make should be taxed--but sadly too many think they should skate by not paying a penny.

Peter, Much of what you point out is true. What pisses me off is the number of charities out there that keep the lions share of donations for " administration ". I'm afraid to give to charities because of these thieves. Thats why I give only to charities I know, and have some information about how much of my donations to the charity goes to it's intended benificiarys

mac, The Church of England is the official religion of England. Great Britain does not have freedom of religion, they have religious tolerance. The difference is while the Britts may belong to any religion, the state religion is the Church of England. The Queen is it's head.That Church is supported by funds from the government.

I take issue with issue statement. My personal belief is that you have no white privilege period. Over the past 50 years white power has diminished to the the max of the lowest minority in the USA. There are hundreds of activist groups for every minority on America,but not one group for white males, except the Aryan brotherhood, which I discount as a prison gang. Why should a club such as the "National Association of the Advancement of the Aryan Male" be called a racist Association. I am calling for equal justice fore white males.

Where I live in N. California. At age 58 I applied to the local Social Security office for a job as a clerk. I called and was told that they wanted a bilingual Spanish. A few months later I called the office about another matter and and a female answered who could spoke no English. Here in my country they would no hire me who speaks only English in a supposedly English speaking country. So where is the White Male Privilege? White males are at a disadvantage Woman and minorities have leap fogged ahead of the While Male relative o civil rights.because the White Mae does not fight back. If a Negro, or "whatever" and a female and a White male interview for a job with the gov the White Male loses most of the time. Where is the White Privilege? Same with college entrance.
