Interesting comments ... seems like this post has taken several directions ... the question was a simple yes or no... seems many posters chose to justify Mrs. Trumps actions rather than answer a simple question... The true answer was yes she did... I personally feel she used the phrases that needed repeating... they were all good points ... but she should have shared the credit with the First Lady to keep it honest... this is all part of the political game and good training for a potential future first lady... lets just hope that the Don passes world scrutiny a bit better....

IMO It is simple:
Melania didn't write the speech. That was admitted in advance. The speech was worked on for 5 weeks; it just contained her sentiments and perspective.
IMO - Melania meant those words. That is what counts. Words are words. The heart is the heart.
We can decide on weather to believe the sincerity of the speech. I do. Her past and present backs that up.

Now applying those "copied" words to Michelle's past and her present, could be debated. Not doing it here.

Steal enough to be considered plagiarism? When you take the thoughts and words of someone else and use them as your own, without any form of accreditation to the author, you've committee plagiary. In high school plagiary will get you a zero and in College it will get you booted out. The real irony of this though is that Melania used, of all people, Michelle Obama to plagiarize. The right has demonize Michelle for 7 and a half years and Melania uses Michelle's words to sell Trump to the rest of the voters. If it wasn't so god damn funny I would say to strip Melania of her citizenship and boot her out but I am actually laughing so hard to ask for something so reasonable...

I do not think Michelle (MIKE) Obama can take credit for those lines used in her speech. It would stand to reason ANYONE years ago could have used the same or similar sentences far before (MIKE) Obama did.

It is always my position,and I've never said my point was not how I felt, how do I know this due, to the fact I wrote it, once again and very often you misconstrue what I've said, for example... I may have supported people to be unbiased against transgender or gay but I am neither, can you grasp the difference there.

To try and defend oneself on opp as not being anything but right,as someone in the middle is a waste of time. For most here attacking anyone not from the right...is labeled left, and I realize I will never change their mind, so be it. So at times I will fight fire with fire, they are the lost Americans as the see other Americans as they enemy. Which to my amazement was literally spoken at the republican convention,so I am to assume this is the new position of the new deplorable republican party. Yes that's correct you heard it right. They are deplorable as they are in the process of dividing America, along with their reverberation of a revolution/civil war.

As I've stated before I am against political party's altogether, they are simply used as in religion to manipulate the masses.
