Muslims are the issue here..The guy was on our FBI radar and cleared??? He then gets a job working security detail in a company that just happens to deal with our government and right before he enters the bar he calls declaring his loyalty to ISIS???Really, cool??? This isn't about the gun he used its about the totally inane lack of proper vetting by our FBI or whomever to give these terrorist clearance...Too much like the Boston Bombing where Putin himself warned of it but nothing was done because "the FBI" had cleared them too...Give me a frigggennnnnn damn break....

How much more of this are we to take before that lame ass administration of ours wakes up, calls these people what they are, TERRORIST, and DO something about them???? Do we need another 9-11 for them to finally capitulate and say well, ok, maybe there is something to all of this????

And while at it, why do we have some 25 KNOWN training camps of the terrorist right here being "watched by the FBI" and nothing done to move those sorry pieces of dog fecus OUT of our country?? Are we waiting for them to be fully trained to declare war on our soil??? How stupid is this administration and what is it going to take..Let me answer that~~~Its going along just as that POS in office has it worked out WITH HiS terrorist....Take him out of White House , get someone in there that has the balls to man up and lets get rid of these serious threats to our country!! Starting NOW from the inside to OUT...They are here, time to round them out and take em out!!!!!!

If we started removing all of the Muslims from this country we would have to remove the first family first to set a precedence for all others which wouldn't bother me either. I would love to see them removed as well as all other Muslims from America.

You are correct in one thing. The problem is not guns per se but the ease of access to them by mentally unstable people. Radical Islam and Mental Instability are probably interchangeable terms but then so is Radical Christianity or Judaism, Hinduism or any other radical "ism". As far as the Gun Ban lobby they should just get realistic because that horse left the stable a long time ago. America is awash in guns of all types and as others have pointed out criminals and the criminally insane will always find a way to get possession. The idea of transforming America into a European state with no guns allowed and concomitantly no shootings is just wishful nonsense. The truth is people who are prone to commit violence will do it with a knife, a hatchet, a car or a home made bomb. There is probably no way to completely eliminate gun violence in America but it could be substantially reduced if all sides starting listening and acknowledging the fears of the other side. As for the idea that a "good guy" with a gun could ameliorate a mass shooting I am skeptical. Experienced enforcement agents report how difficult it is to respond with deadly force in the confusion of any kind of shooting let alone a mass shooting where there are panicked people milling around and the shooter is mingled and does not present a clear target. The idea would only have merit if there were people (volunteers) willing to undergo specialized training in this field along the lines of the original Sky Marshal program. The NRA should also be a participant in any solution instead of allowing itself to become a political mouthpiece that attracts fringe groups with extreme religious, racial and political views who promote unwarranted hysteria over gun control. The accumulation of fear spawns the rationale of mob mentality and extra judicial actions that do not solve the problem and do not make us safer.

I was born in 1943 and I can remember insane asylums in this country at one time. I was just wondering which political party it was that got rid of the insane asylums and for what reason did it use to get rid of them. I remember not having all of these problems when these asylums were up and functioning here in America and was wondering if maybe we have learned more and would be better off if they were reinstated again.
