I was born in 1943 and the women and the men still dressed pretty much the way they did in that video and the family life was a lot closer and we always went to both grandmas at Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving and we always had firecrackers on the fourth of July and I could go on. But then I get nostalgic and I start getting pissed at the democrats for all of the things that they have removed as well as added in their stupid social engineering changes that they have enacted over the years. Just like this LGBTQ and whatever letters are supposed to be there thing. They are still the minority and as such so should the remain seen but not heard just like kids.

Life seems more simple then, with higher family values, and discipline with expectations of children..No more it seems..No respect, no manors, rude, insulting and mean they can be.The protocol of mom having to work too just to make ends meet...Society is slipping Don, gone is what was, in with the new..Not so good at the moment...

I have faith though and I believe in our country and its people and we will survive, we will!!!

If Trump can get elected and start reversing this trend of having all of our businesses leave and go to foreign soil and bring them back home where they should be we will have a chance. There are just so many things that have to be reversed that it isn't even funny. We have to get God and the pledge of allegiance back into school as well as our National Anthem. If we teach evolution then we should also teach creationism as well as both can be labeled as religions. If you are offended by our flag, the pledge of allegiance prayer and putting God back in our schools then maybe America is not the country for you. And that goes for democrats as well.

I was born in a hospital in Richmond Hill, Queens, a borough of New York City when my family lived in Jamaica, Queens. We moved to Manhattan when I was 4 or 5. It was right in Mid-town, half way between Grand Central Station and where the United Nations building would soon be. I played on its grounds as it was being built.

I attended a small Catholic School, a half block from Grand Central Station. One of our classrooms looked out onto the Chrysler Building, then the second tallest in the world. We'd see the window washers at work.

I well remember many of the scenes in this video, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the stores and even the double decker buses which were being phased out.
