This is not my most Christian outlook, but it might save the country if an unexpected, devastating quake, followed by a GIGANTIC tsunami, wiped out Washington, D.C. and all the corrupt persons there - ALL OF THEM. Not Christian thought, but I'd bet many Christians would be thanking the Lord that has saved them from such a devastating experience.
There would be celebrations for weeks on end if that were to occur.

Prayer for 6/6/16
When you live away from urban areas, and reside at a higher elevation, the sky is an incredible blue. White, cotton ball clouds float lazily across this azure sea. It wraps you into its beauty, and you feel as though you could soar over hill and dale just like the hawks who glide up and down across the sky. The trees are such a vibrant green, everything is so alive, so in tune with each other. Dear Lord, that is how we should be - in tune with one and other.
Someday, Lord, someday we will look at each other and see a brother. "Politically Correct" will be a 'Pile of Compost.' What a glorious day that will be. There will be no more night, the Bible says so. When you live in the Light of the Lord, how can anything be dark? We will listen to the haunting music of the heavenly choirs. We will have new bodies, no more sickness, no more pain. I needed You, Lord, You heard my spirit cry out. What a blessing!
The next time you feel angry or upset, sit down and begin to pray. Soon, the dark spirit hovering over you will have to give way to the light, and you will smile and feel the joy of His presence. It is a new day, enjoy the life you have been blessed with, be grateful for the fact that you are a child of the God, the Holy One. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus name I pray. Amen

Thoughts on Today's Verse....
We're not going to fool God. While we might put up a facade for others, God knows our hearts. So, if we spend our wealth, time, and interest in other things and give God the crumbs, we need to know that we are not going to reap a bounteous spiritual harvest.
My Prayer...
O LORD God Almighty, who sees all things and knows all hearts, please give me wisdom to see the important things I need to invest myself in, and help me see those things I must avoid because of their entanglements. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

The current flooding mayhem isn’t just happening in Europe – it’s also hitting countries worldwide. Here’s a compilation of the worst floodings from around the world: the US, Mexico, Russia, China, France, Germany, Belgium, Ukraine, and Romania.
Just think, the worst is probably yet to come!
Let’s start with the ‘biblical’ floods currently sweeping across western and eastern Europe. Days of downpours have caused ten deaths in Germany, two in France and Romania and one in Belgium. The River Seine in Paris is six meters higher than normal.

The real economy is bottoming out, and the experts have been warning about the extreme stress in the system for some time.
Job growth has stagnated, personal and institution debt is teetering on edge and the central bank policies of the Federal Reserve have been widening the gap between artificially-boosted corporate interests… and all the rest who have been stymied by low-interest cash flowing to the top of the pyramid at zero interest (and failing to trickle down).
While the United States seems miles apart from the implosion taking place in Venezuela, looks can be deceiving. Even former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan is admitting it.

Thoughts on Today's Verse....
Reminds me of what God told Jesus at his baptism â "... in you I am well pleased!" Even in the middle of a culture steeped in sin in Noah's time, God could find the one heart loyal to him and use him and his family to be a blessing and provide the world a future. May we each be such a person in our day, in our job, in our school, in our neighborhood. Can you imagine the difference it would ultimately make if each of us decided to be a Noah?
My Prayer...
Loving Shepherd and Holy God, please bless me as I seek to passionately live a life that pleases you and brings you joy. Please use me and my church family to make a difference in the world. In the name of the Lord Jesus I pray. Amen.

Down Detector has received reports from over the weekend, carrying on into this morning, that some people in CA, NY, NJ WA, AZ, TX and others states, have not had their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards, similar to a bank ATM or debit card to receive and use their food stamp and/or cash benefits, reloaded with their monthly welfare funds.
According to the Food Research & Action Center, food stamp participation averaged 44,391,436 persons in February 2016, which is the most recent report provided to date, and there is noway to gauge how widespread this issue is as not everyone using the food stamp program, now known as SNAP, is aware of Down Detector where these complaints are being left in the comment section.
