Where does the word 'democracy' appear in the Constitution?

Robert Kagan & Slatten49 overlook that fascism has been in place in this country since at least the age of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Benito Mussolini was an idol of the progressivees of the early part of the twentieth century, along with Vladimir Ulyanov Lenin and later Josip Stalin. Those same progressives fell into line admiring Adolf Hitler.

Hitler sent a letter of admiration to FDR, an inconvenient fact that liberal historians have swept under the rug. The bunch of them were a tight little circle.

Kagen & Slatten49 also overlook the peddling of fear and hatred that have characterized the government of Barack H. Obama and the campaigns of Hillary and Bernie. Welcome to the world of power politics. Open your eyes.

Donald Trump raises some worries but far fewer than Hillary and it is refreshing to see someone who owes nobody rising the way he has.

Fascism is a right-wing ideology. It is highly Nationalistic and militaristic. It is staunchly against communism, socialism, and liberalism plus opposed to intellectualism. There is no political characteristic that FDR held that Hitler would have admired so what was in Hitlers letter would FDR responded to?

It doesn't. This is why you shouldn't vote. Doing so would violate the constitution...

PeterS, I haven't found a copy of the letter...yet, but will offer this summation of it, from Sam Roberts, and the Roosevelt Archives.....

"In a 1933 handwritten letter, Mussolini expressed admiration for Roosevelt and hope that they might meet to “discuss the outstanding world problems in which the United States and Italy are mutually interested.” He cited the countries’ “cordial and friendly” relations, adding, “I firmly believe and confidently hope” they will grow stronger."

I see no reason to differentiate all the isms. Every one of them is collectivist in nature and everyone of them has a ruler and makes war, sends men to die, and steals citizens' money. I prefer a no ruler state as I am perfectly capable of making decisions all by myself, and don't like the feel of other people's hands in my pockets. No ruler states don't send men to war, don't tax, don't interfere in ones medical plan, etc. Think about it now that we are at such cross roads in our nation.

Perhaps the letter in question was this one's excerpts, delivered to President Roosevelt through Ambassador Thomas Dodd...

"The Reich chancellor requests Mr. Dodd to present his greetings to President Roosevelt. He congratulates the president upon his heroic effort in the interest of the American people. The president’s successful struggle against economic distress is being followed by the entire German people with interest and admiration. The Reich chancellor is in accord with the president that the virtues of sense of duty, readiness for sacrifice, and discipline must be the supreme rule of the whole nation. This moral demand, which the president is addressing to every single citizen, is only the quintessence of German philosophy of the state, expressed in the motto 'The public weal before the private gain'."

And....

"Hitler had genuine admiration for the decisive manner in which the President had taken over the reins of government. “I have sympathy for Mr. Roosevelt,” he told a correspondent of the New York Times two months later, 'because he marches straight toward his objectives over Congress, lobbies and bureaucracy.' Hitler went on to note that he was the sole leader in Europe who expressed 'understanding of the methods and motives of President Roosevelt'."

The rise of Trump may well be the first slowing down of an open, blood in the streets of America, rebellion against the oppressive government, especially by the Marxist progressive government of the traitorous Obama administration which would be perpetuated by Clinton.

You're sooooooooo full of crap, peter piper. Fascism is one tiny, tiny step to the "LEFT" of communism, and even the emblems of the Nazi [National "SOCIALIST" Party], and "The Bern's" ideology is nearly identical to the communist agenda, and so close that the secular liberal progressive party could [today] actually be named the secular [communist, fascist, radical] liberal progressive party. [CPUSA, SPUSA] OWS [SDS, Weather Underground Jr.], is the communist branch, now joined with BLM, MB, CAIR, MSA and their affiliates, Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, and the New {Muslim/communist} Black Panther Party, etc., are the fascist/radical end. "Right wing." Get a life!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUMP!!!

Corporatism is another name for Fascism. Corporatism in the form of Wall Street operatives attempted a coup on FDR in 1934. It might have succeeded if the perpetrators hadn't been so stupid as to approach General Smedley Butler to lead the coup. Butler, being a staunch patriot, turned them in. There was a Congressional investigation which determined the plot was real but that those involved were too wealthy and too important to indict. http://www.counterpunch.org/2011/12/02/wall-streets-failed-1934-coup/
