Sadly, in some jurisdictions, that final shot might get the man charged and convinced of manslaughter or even murder.
Since once the attacker stops the attack and tried to run away, shooting/killing him might no longer qualify as self defense. Sadly.

Yes, we need to make the world safer (for criminals of all kinds)

As it should be! I found this URL to it without having to sign in. That's the first time I saw this request on u-tube?

Thanks for posting that - the driver could have just waited a little bit of time - and some do-gooder liberal civil servant would have consoled his widow

So very sad that the liberals can't see what we see Eh?
And, that folks, is precisely why I have decided to undergo continuing training to make sure I can effectively do exactly what that armed citizen did. Just owning a gun, thinking you know how to use it, and carrying it around, is not enough in my book for me personally.
What I am appalled about is the lackadaisical attitude of the cop. Sauntering over after the shooting, an armed man with a gun and he just casually approaches. Something is seriously wrong with that part of the scenario from my POV.
There is another solution. A much better one in my opinion.
Assuming the same course of events, (except for the end) perhaps the best course of action after the perpetrator was put down, would be to just drive off into the sunset.
Lord knows that law enforcement has enough problems to solve and self-defense against a car jacker would not be at the top of their list.
Besides, what is to be lost if you do. Even if they track you down and charge you with a crime.
Leaving the scene of a dastardly crime?
LOL
We pretty much are doing that now with all the new laws against honest gun ownership. Criminals have it made now.
It most certainly is a great idea to stay trained and alert. A good deal of gun owners could use training. There is a problem finding qualified instructers in places like Ca.
This weekend I participated in a Personal Protection in the Home course with an individual who emigrated from The California Republic of Mexico and was very gratified that he was able to participate in such a class with his wife and how readily it was available.
