So you agree that the bible has more than one interpretation?

The issue is not which position we must all agree with. I thought we were discussing Jesus and liberalism.

Since Jesus was a liberal, I think you are saying that we should all be following His teaching. I agree with you that we should follow Jesus' teaching. Great topic choice.

Since conservatives follow Jesus' teaching already, you are pushing to get the liberals back to church and living according to Jesus' teaching too. I agree, that would benefit the American culture and the happiness of its citizens greatly.

Or, are you saying that Jesus was a liberal, so conservatives should all reject Jesus. But if conservatives reject Jesus because He is liberal, the conservatives will also have to reject all those liberal things Jesus believed in.

Well, I think you are saying that liberals should all go back to church, because Jesus is their leader, and conservatives should stop going to church and should reject Jesus' teaching because it is against everything they believe in.

Lots of interpretations, but only one is correct.

When interpretations contradict, one must be correct and the other incorrect.

Then you must be angry with limbaugh every day, as well as some of the posters from the right, here on OPP. Some the comments must really upset you.

There is another thread saying that Jesus was a conservative. Let me relate a story we (Jews) tell their children about sin; and blaming each other.

This may be compared to the case of a king who had an orchard containing excellent early figs, and he placed there two watchmen, one lame and the other blind. He said to them: "Be careful with these fine early figs." After some days the lame man said to the blind one: "I see fine early figs in the orchard." Said the blind man to him: "Come let us eat them." "Am I then able to walk?" said the lame man. "Can I then see?" retorted the blind man. The lame man got astride the blind man, and thus they ate the early figs and sat down again each in his place.

After some days the king came into that vineyard and said to them: "Where are the fine early figs?" The blind man replied: "My lord, the king, can I then see?" The lame man replied: "My lord the king, can I then walk?" What did the king, who was a man of insight, do with them? He placed the lame man astride the blind man, and they began to move about. Said the king to them: "Thus have you done, and eaten the early figs."

Even so will the Holy One, blessed be God, in the time to come, say to the soul: "Why have you sinned before Me?" and the soul will answer: O Master of the universe, it is not I that sinned, but the body it is that sinned. Why, since leaving it, I am like a clean bird flying through the air. As for me, how have I sinned?" God will also say to the body: "Why have you sinned before Me?" and the body will reply: "O Master of the universe, not I have sinned, the soul it is that has sinned. Why, since it left me, I am cast about like a stone thrown upon the ground. Have I then sinned before You?"

What will the Holy One, blessed be God, do to them? God will bring the soul and force it into the body, and judge both as one.

As a nation, we are judged by other countries on what we do; not on what the Democrats do or Republicans. So it is true with what we do for the needy, not as a political party but as each human should do. Each person should give as they see fit, not have someone tell them what they can afford. When we are judged, we will not come before God as a Conservative or Liberal or even a Moderate. We will go naked, with only our deeds and be judged independently of everyone else. There is no shame in taking care of your family first and then others. But, there is shame if you do not take care of your own family and then others. This is something that everyone should consider before having a family. A basic question, will I be able to cloth, house and feed my family?

It would appear that that you did not read CL's post and question. If you did, you could probably figure out my reply

You would be wrong as to my reading the post. He asked a question. He then made a statement. Two separate subject items in his post.

I took the question and the comment as being combined.

Had he not placed them on separate lines, I would have done the same. It was because they were on separate lines, I took one as question and one as a statement. I tend to get "geeky" on writing.

Good evening Bo,

Thank you for the link. It is important to know that many of the folk on OPP are not Jewish. And as you know, these laws were given to the Jews. Jesus Christ gave a set of laws that the Goy (that is just a word that means non-Jew not an insult) follow. He basically gave the same laws and added to them with his own versions and opinions.

Jesus Christ is a CONSERVATIVE!

This is what God thinks of LIBERALS:

Isaiah 32:5-8
King James Version (KJV)
5 The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.

6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

7 The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
