OK. You all have discussed all the ways this is not a valid example of restrictive voter ID laws, and some of your comments are perhaps at least a bit valid. And I fully admit it is a manipulative meme.
But what of the individuals who have been voting without an ID for years, and are well-known in their small communities, who now must produce an ID?
And what about the Texas laws, wherein a valid student ID issued by the state is not adequate for a voting ID?
These laws are awfully akin to a poll tax, disproportionately impacting the poor. And anyway I think they do little to nothing to prevent purported voter fraud.

The fact is that there is very, very little documented voter fraud, and the point of restrictive laws is twofold:
1 - Make it harder for those who favor liberal candidates to vote.
2 - To stir up an uneducated populace with fake ideas of voter fraud.
If anyone thinks otherwise I believe they have been severely duped. Beware, your rights could be the next ones to get compromised.

I guess you did not watch a video showing the fallacy of the statement, no voter fraud. It proved beyond a doubt that the voting machines can be rigged. What about in the last election there were more people to vote in some counties than were registered or another county where no votes were cast for the Republican candidate, that is not logical in any sense of the word.

There is no need to dig deep. If there is even one lone person denied the right to vote, due to some inane voter ID law, it's one too many.

I was in my 70s the first time we had to show our driver licenses to vote, but didn't think anyone was trying to hurt my feelings with that law. The funniest thing I have ever seen in a polling place was when a local judge, well known, tried to vote without his DL in hand. He lived over 15 miles from town which meant he drove in and that is illegal here since you are to have your DL with you when driving. He whined and howled for a short time and then drove back out for the license and came back and voted. All that for just a local, county and state election.
Yep those people even threatened not to let me vote the first time they asked me for the license and I refused. I had taught their kids and they knew me well but they were willing to do their jobs. Here in Kansas you need the DL or a ID they procure from the DMV people, the same place I get mine.

You wouldn't agree with me that motor voter is inane and also should have never happened, would you?
Be interesting to find out how she was "vetted" so she could get into the white house - no driver's license? How goes she cash checks or use a credit card?

I doubt she uses a credit card or writes checks. Her gender and the color of her skin gives her all kinds of goodies old white women wouldn't have.

These cases are going to be few and far between plus I'm sure there are hundreds of dead people that will cover her vote for hillary or bernie !
Problems like these are bound to arise anytime there is a effort to stop fraud and there will always be folks like you that like the idea that fraud will be harder to prove without the Voter ID thus the reason you jump on band wagons like this !
In the even she has lets says a family Bible which many have recorded marriages and births take the to the County Court house !
That's what I had to do to change the misspelling of my middle name !

Would you say that if there
were voter fraud folks would be willing to expose it when their candidate was the beneficiary? I don't. Trust but verify. And that old woman...she can get an ID. I don't believe for the minutest second she couldn't.

I don't believe the woman
can't get an ID. This doesn't smell right.

Just because someone has a valid student ID does not mean they are a registered voter in the state.

If there is even one case of voter fraud that means that there could be many more that have slipped by the states.

Of course not Louie. Neither does a valid drivers license nor a passport.
Registering to vote is a separate process which gets one on the rolls. The ID is simply to confirm identity at the polling place.
If the state issued the student ID is it any less valid for that purpose than another state-issued ID?
