What of the $15 minimum wage is a boon to the economy, taking money out of the pockets of billionaire corporate captains and spreading it around in the marketplace where businesses flourish because more people actually have money to spend?

Prics will rise on everything saleable to cover increased wages. The poor will still be poor. Minimum wages are a starting point for students and young people just entering the working arena.

Economists will tell you that that might happen for a very short time, but the real result will be severe damage to the economy. Again I suggest that you read Sowell, Milton Friedman, and Walter Williams, all three are easy to read and make a lot of sense. Or you could spend your three million dollars to start a mall business, pay the new hires, fresh out of high school with no work experience $15.00 an hour, and pay those who know what they are doing $30.00 an hour, because they are more valuable than the new hires, and see how long you stay in business selling mens clothing to the public, or operating a midline restaurant, or a auto repair business.

Framing his argument as speculation seems especially suspect for anyone remotely involved in the law.

What are you going to do if the tenets of fundamental Christianity are a fraud?

Speculation is not the same as intelligent debate, and serves only to inflame rather than solve any issues of either the $15 minimum or the dogma of Christianity.

The, what if's, are true today. Can you prove the tenets of Christianity are fraud?

I have never felt the need to prove the tenets of Christianity a fraud. But if I am to become a believer, it is incumbent on Christians to prove to me that they are based in fact.

It isn't incumbent upon anyone, Christian or not, to 'prove' the Bible is factual or not. One either believes or doesn't believe. The Bible is a historical compendium of documents compiled into a book.

   Since you know he wasn't speculating, rather, framing his argument, you must also know that irony and rhetorical questions have been used countless times in history by the best debaters. What's "suspect" about that?

Look at the fast food industry. All the little fast food eateries like Micky D's are operated by small franchise owners. They can't afford the high wages because the profit margins are not there. Cashiers are being replaced by automation in CA. as an example. The franchise owners cover the unemployment on top of that. Some of those small business are simply going to close their doors. If you are looking at the Mexican laborers. They send that extra money back to Mexico so their relatives there can put it into their own economy. Why do you think the President of Mexico is raising hell over trump possibly becoming our president and deporting and stopping illegal immigration. Because he would have to support them and Mexico would lose billions of dollors. How the hell is that putting more money in the market place when those same people who got the raise are being laid off. the layoffs far out way any gains.
