How you equate to the varying times that a body can survive the absence of oxygen, water or food to substantiate when life begins stuns logic, unless you are suggesting that one can survive for 9 months with an absence of any of these.

You suggest that life begins with the first breath because breath is necessary to support life. Why then is it not when the first food is ingested, or the first water? How does the time necessary validate one and not the other.

I do not know when life begins. Eastern mystics do not know when life begins. Western mystics do not know when life begins. YOU do not know when life begins.

Those whose religion leads them to believe life begins at conception are, to you, not only wrong but out of order for attempting to force their religous beliefs on others through politics.

You, in your infinite arrogance, post here how your religuous believes - superior to all others - dictate what poltics should decide and those who disagree are hypocrites.

Nice to live in your world, so self satisfied with your intellectual, spiritual and moral superiority - but you in your great lofty self regard might deign to allow those of us so far below you in those matters a bit of a different opinion - or maybe your loftiness doesn't allow for it

Tell me something Dave, as an agnostic, what is your belief as to what happens when you die?

I think there may be something to this reincarnation stuff. I think in a past life I was Confederate General A.P. Hill

Christians, many, if not most are hypocrites that proudly demonstrate their alleged Christian faith, and, slander the poor, the disenfranchised as "parasites, socialists, lazy bums".

Where is the compassion for the poor; the huddled masses. People often wear their religion on their sleeve as a badge of membership, but, rarely live the principles that it preaches. God the Hypocrite Above All Else.

The real tragedy in America is this Unholy Marriage of Born Again, Backwoods Evangelical Nut Jobs and the Tea Republican Party into a Union of Haters!

Christian conservatives are all over this planet feeding the poor and helping the sick. From the mosquito infested jungle in the Philippines where Abu Sayaf terrorists beheaded a missionary couple to the young ladies taken prisoner by the Taliban. All across Africa thousands of American Christians volunteer. Not the NAACP or Moveon.org. The list of Christian organizations helping the poor is immense. From World Vision to the Salvation Army. From your local soup kitchen to the homeless shelter and food pantry. YOU are the one who does NOTHING but say " Someone should help those people" . Yet you do Nothing yourself. You are the hypocrite. Any time you wish to work alongside me you can find me one weekend per month at Holy Apostle Soup kitchen on 9th Avenue in NYC.

I do believe that there are Christian conservatives that do good , but when they enter there ideas into the political and social arenas they tend to substitute dogma for practicality

Are these, self-proclaimed "Christians", helping the "needy" or greedily feeding them their "brand" of religious reality in exchange for food in order to convert more souls, that they, the giver, might be raptured?

Christians, true Christians, keep their mouth shut, live their faith and sow seeds by example, not by applause for their alleged "good deeds".

Remove the plank from one's own eye before calling the pot black, my friend. Jesus never called himself a Christian nor asked of the poor to donate to his palatial temple.

Christians need to bathe their minds with "Love" for everyone, not just Right Wing Nut Jobs and Stop the Hate by turning off Fox TV Network Faux News and Rush, impacted bowels, Limbaugh.

I meant to write that "God abhors Hypocrites" above all else, not what is incorrectly and inarticulately written as "God hypocrites above all else."

Tending to the sick and poor is sowing seeds by example. People like you are hateful and ignorant. Educate yourself and start doing something for people. Turn off Fox News? And listen to Martin Bashir's vile hate?

There are things that a Christian knows from Biblical Study that a non Christian does not. 1st, if it was not for the minute arc of electricity (your spirit from God) when the gammetts first come together, there would be no cell division into a fetus- and baby. Science does not know what type of electrical arc that is. Can't be duplicated. 2nd, if there were more kind hearted people in Government, such as Christians, having a type of Love only Jesus Christ can bestow on you, Government would not be quite so corrupt. 3rd, the Holy Bible is for Spiritual enhancement and knowledge of something greater than this world, and for "Practical" Living.
If you have never opened the Bible out of "Sincere Interest" to know your Creator, then you have no sound reason to put down a Faith that has lasted the long long circuits of Time.

Christianity has turned into a fountain of Hate, as indicated here by its alleged practitioners. Their level of ignorance, lack of understanding and complete reliance on others to interpret scripture is indicative of their narrow mindedness.

Fox TV Network News spew hatred 24/7/365 and is only surpassed by the Religious Right, Rush Limbaugh and the other Conservative Christian Haters for Jesus.

Jesus would be shocked at how angry, mean spirited and hateful those who call themselves "Christ Like" really are.
