It seems that the Donald has now gotten into a beef with the Pope. His holiness said that Trump has committed a non Christian act by proposing a wall separating Mexico and the US.
I am no friend of the Donald. I consider him a lying miscreant that should not be running for office. I believe that he has neither the experience, temperament or morals for the office.
I do admire the Pope as a religious leader and a true Christian. Having said that, the Pope has no business mixing into the politics of the United States.
What do you feel about it?

While I disagree with your statements about Donald I agree with your statements about the Pope. If we were at war with Mexico or something of that nature then he may be able to wade in on the problems but since we are looking to stabilize both America and Mexico he should but out.

Pope needs to stop the hypocrisy , he lives in a walled compound with armed security , has access to vast sums of money and I think the vatican has taken 2 faimlys of refugees but will call out others for so called lack of christian values .. kinda sounds like others in high ranking places living in absolute luxury all the while holding a hand out for me and you to donate to their cause and pocketing most of the proceeds , typical librel commie !!

It does make one wonder, how is the 50 ft. tall wall around the Vatican ok but a wall on our border to protect the citizens of the country not ok? Our right to practice our religion won't mean much if we are forced to live under Muslim law. And if they gain the majority in any community, that will happen. They have no desire to assimilate into our culture, they want to take over. And we have a right to self-defense.

After hearing the pope, I am done with religion all together. Separation of church and state is only used as a convenience when it serves the elite! The Pope of all people has no room to judge! What about all the sex crimes against children that the Vatican has covered up. Trump will not lower himself to the pope's level. The Vatican can kiss my ass! We will make America great again whether the Pope likes it or not!

Countrygal-good point. Maybe we should tell the Pope that if he tears down his wall we might consider other means of securing our border. That is the reason we have separation of Church and State. Leaders of neither one are qualified to advise the other. The Pope would be better served to concentrate on his errant followers, and his area of the world, while allowing America to fend for itself. Good Luck America !!!

Don't condemn all religion based on the remarks of one denominations leader. What is important is your relationship with God, not what denomination you belong to. And if something your Pastor, or Priest says doesn't sound right. Go direct to God's Word for clarification, pray for understanding. This current Pope is way too liberal and I have heard that his appointment was to appease the Vatican's creditors as the previous Pope was considered too conservative. His behavior does make one wonder.

Cowboy, I don't believe that the Pope is a commie. He is however, not acting as a great religious leader by interfering in the politics of this country.
This is the very reason we have separation of church and state!

Ironic that the socialist gnome, or pope, should critizcize anyone's Christian credentials............does anyone remember a little period called the Protestant Reformation? A lot of deeply committed people of faith sacrificed their lives for the sake of conscience. They felt called by their Saviour who was their example. This whole so-called "debate" is total nonsense undertaken by people who refuse to see or understand!!!

"You have need to call no man father.....you have one Father, who is in Heaven...." Jesus the Christ

reboot, Not being a Christian, I have no comment on the righteousness of the Reformation, but I don't believe that any religious authority has the right to mix in American politics. Thats what the separation of church and state is all about!! The Pope may not realize this, but he puts his church in danger of losing it's tax exempt status.

The "separation of church and state" was an opinion expressed in a private correspondence and carries no force of law. The freedom of religion in the First Amendment refers to the god-given right of people who, informed by their faith, may engage in Civil Society based on their beliefs. It forbids the imposition of theocratic rule and interference by the gov't in affairs of faith.
