11th Chapter Matthew
Verse 1 through 6
John and Jesus were cousins and he is mentioned in all four gospels as well as having his life and ministry predicted in the Old Testament. In spite of this, he still had questions and the best of his disciples had to be re-taught by the Disciples of Christ. The answer Jesus gives is written in Isaiah 29:18 and 35:5 and 6 .Speaking briefly on Isaiah 29, every problem is met with a solution. The cure to poverty is applying the word of God to your life. You will not have a strong family being unfaithful to your spouse. Keeping a united family should be the highest priority person should have to demonstrate their love for Christ. You should not offer to God that which cost you nothing. I know the bible says a mans enemies will those of his own household but Jesus wants us to love our enemies. Lets go back to John. What were the circumstances surrounding the end of his life? Should you offer to God that which cost you nothing? Should you be afraid to speak out when not only obvious transgressions are running rampant but the poor choices made by most ends in death? John was a man unafraid of addressing wickedness in high places. God does not enlist pretty boys. He wont waste His time men who afraid to make a stand. He wont bother with those whose concern is with being politically correct. To answer the first question John was imprisoned because he openly condemned to sins of Herod, who was a high-ranking government official. He was killed because of Herods lust for his own step-daughter. In spite of how far reaching his ministry was, he still didnt understand everything.
Verse 7 through 9
Jesus is going to ask the same question three times. We can assume because He answers the first two times that the answer is no. What we can surmise from the questions that Jesus asks is the God has no interest in those that want to be popular or wear nice clothes; God wants real men who arent afraid to take a stand no matter where it leads.
Verse 10
Elijah in Malachi was John the Baptist but no one recognized him and he probably died not knowing what role in Gods plan he played. Today we have the sad situation of the blind leading the leading the blind. The saddest thing we can realize is that the person being led has no means of knowing the one leading him is blind.
Verse 11
Jesus knew Moses, David, and Abraham. He knew all the prophets and put John at the top. In spite of this John was not popular with the religious hierarchy and dies in prison. The least in the kingdom of heaven is satan. He is the catalyst behind Johns death. Satan deceives the whole world. That includes me, you, and everybody. If you think satan can fool everyone but you that is a sign youre fooled. Come on! We have devalued normal relations and state by state we are legalizing gay marriage.
Verse 12 through 15
No one knows what is going on in heaven right now but from the sound of it, we probably dont know what to expect. What is interesting are that Jesus words almost making it sound like the bible is put here for us to accept or reject.
Verse 16 through 19
No matter how God sent a messenger the people would not be moved. It was akin to the saying, Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
Verse 20 through 24
At judgment time it appears entire cities and cultures will be judged at the same time. Right now we teach that God will hold everyone accountable for things they thought about but never acted on. This is not even done in secular courts. God is just and fair and will not find you guilty in a matter where no innocence exists. The American people will have to answer for over 53,000,000 (million) babies murdered before they drew their first breath. God hates the shedding of innocent blood as stated in Proverbs 6:16 through 19. We will answer for legalizing gay marriage. Drugs are destroying society.
Verse 25 through 30
It is a mistake to assume following Jesus will lead to a good life where everyone agrees with you and you are wealthy. Man makes money but money will not make man. What Jesus is saying is that life is going to be tough, but if you apply the bible to your life it will make it easier to go through. The key to success in life is making good decisions. The way you learn to make good decisions is from experience. You learn from experience when you make bad decisions. There is a reason men seldom get rich before they are 40.

"... God has no interest in those that want to be popular or wear nice clothes; God wants real men who arent afraid to take a stand no matter where it leads." God has deep interest in all souls, and not so much men taking a stand NO MATTER WHERE IT LEADS.
