You said: "America's heritage is built up on the principles of the Christian religion."

I just wanted to know if you had any clue as to what they were? If you do you should be able to tell us all what those principles are shouldn't you. So what are they.

America's Christian History

America's heritage is built up on the principles of the Christian religion.

Christianity is written on every page of America's amazing history.

Gary DeMar presents well-documented facts which will change your perspective about what it means to be a Christian in America; the truth about America's Christian past as it relates to Supreme Court justices and presidents; the Christian character of colonial charters, state constitutions and the U.S. Constitution; the Christian foundation of colleges; the Christian character of Washington, D.C.; the origin of Thanksgiving; and so much more.

Three appendixes have been added that further emphasize Christianity's positive influence on America. Additional information includes "Deism and the Founding of America" and also "Jesus Christ and the Founding of America." This is an indispensable book which is needed in a time when even "under God" is coming under fire.

Read more about America's Christian History.

From the founding of the colonies to the declaration of the Supreme Court, America's heritage is built up on the principles of the Christian religion. And yet the secularists are dismantling this foundation brick by brick, attempting to deny the very core of our national life.

You weigh the evidence. Consider the following facts which are being systematically erased from our nation's memory:

In 1892, the Supreme Court of the United States declared, "This is a Christian nation."

During the War for Independence, Congress resolved to import 20,000 volumes of the Bible because "the use of the Bible is so universal, and its importance so great."

The New England Confederation stated that the purpose of the colonies was "to advance the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ and to enjoy the liberties of the gospel in purity with peace."

Harvard College required that each student believe that "the main end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ which is eternal life."

John Adams wrote, "The Christian religion is...the Religion of Wisdom, Virtue, Equity, and humanity."

Engraved on the metal cap on the top of the Washington Monument are the words "Praise be to God."

Also, read Democracy in America by Alexis DeTouqueville. When the French Revolution failed, the French were shocked because they thought they had modeled it on ours. DeTouqueville visited America and wrote the book that explained Americans better than any other!

Sicialianthing, The government does share many principals with the Christian faith, but is clearly a nation which is built on the First Amendment. This amendment clearly states along with all related US Supreme cases states that the government may not favor one religion over another. It also states that the government may not interfere with the church and the church may not interfere with the government. Jefferson is reputed to have called for a wall of separation of church and state.
It was the Anabaptists, a pre reformation church that was among the first to advocate this principal. It has served this blessed land well. We are all free to worship according to our own beliefs without interference from the government. Lets all agree to keep it this way. It is the difference between countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran and us!!

Actually, the First Amendment restricts government from meddling in religion. If you read it, it places no such restrictions on religion in government.
You have to realize that at the time the First Amendment was ratified, the US was overwhelmingly Christian. The founders could not have possibly envisioned a nation like today, where the majority of our immigrants come from Mexico and Central America, rather than Europe, as was the case until LBJ and Ted Kennedy put together the immigration laws of the mid 1960s.
52 of the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention of 1787 identified as either Catholic or Protestant. Those who claim the majority were Deists are mistaken. Many were of a bent called "Anti-Clerical Christian," who were Christians who rejected the need for Clergy and Churches. In the 18th Century, organized Christianity, especially the French and Spanish Catholic Church, and to a lesser degree, the Church of England, were more political than religious institutions, exerting an incredible amount of influence on secular governments. The Anti-Clerical Christians rejected this notion in favor of keeping religious organizations, if not religion, out of government, having seen the results of a powerful church and clergy.

The ONLY book that was necessary for a proper education in the "New World," Loki, America, was the Holy Bible. As "progressivism" slithered into our Western free-market civilization, the "secular/earthly," arm of humanity has been trying to throw God off the planet ever since. Today, the "Marx/Alinskyite," secular liberal progressives (D) have fallen off the "left" coast cliff, and are about to find-out a REALLY BIG lesson in attitude and gratitude. God works in mysterious ways.

And Islam only has the "beard" of religion. The other "branches" of the "Complete System of Life," Islam, are the non-assimilating, baby-making citizenry, the Judicial, political and military [terrorist] "systems," and one "system" of Islam cannot exist without ALL the others. To refer to Islam as a religion would be like referring to communism as a "democracy;" much like the Chavez Venezuela.
