Hi Linda

I have no problem with atheism at all. In fact, in terms of the way most people think of God, I could conceivably be considered an atheist. A few days ago I was listening to a quantum physicist share his story, and I wish I could remember his name and the website. I can look it up later. I think his name is Lansa. He isn't trying to prove God, but what he says about quantum physics is quite enlightening. I think his name is Lansa, but I will look it up.

Anyway, in the very first verse of Genesis, (the Hebrew letters all have several meanings, and so do the words. And looking at each letter gives us a whole new perspective on the overall meaning.) As such, the very first word in the Hebrew Torah implies a big bang, an energy and vibration that creates it, and a concept of consciousness creating such. We have the same ideas to a certain extent expressed in the first verse of the Gospel of John. Furthermore, the story of the Prodigal son is an allegory of the big bang, what caused it, and how it proceeds and returns in on itself as in a black hole. Beyond that, this specific talk would get too long so I will save anything else for later.

By the way, speaking of the "multiverse" there is much discussion about that nowadays, (there was a few years ago too, but everyone kind of forgot about it) and scientists argue over whether it is real or not. Sometimes I think the physicists never really hear what the other physicist is actually saying, only what they want to hear them saying. Whether there is a multiverse or not in many ways depends on your definition and your perspective of it. But there is a hint of it in the gospels. "In my father's house are many mansions. (universes) I go there to prepare a place for you." (A given universe that fits you.) How would the mansion (universe) be decided? By the way you have lived your life, the karma you have produced, and the understanding you have developed. According to those and other criteria, you will be placed in a given universe in another life. All very interesting, at least to me.

I will have to say that the "faith" in science is just as strong as the faith in God, even though science is constantly proven wrong. Secular humanism is as much of a religion as anything else

Faith in science comes from the ability to prove truth through scientific method. Faith in god is required because there is no rational proof for god. One is seeing two five dollar bills in someones hand and knowing there is 10 dollars and the other is having faith that the money held in someones hand is 10 dollars even though you can't actually see it.

As for secular humanism being a religion what is it that is worshiped?

I agree with you, too...Is either, right, or are both a constant thirst for more answers to the never ending questions we all have here??????

It is very interesting..I read an article on it that implied or at least suggested multiverse is real and that but for our antiquated time travel the only reason we do not know of it is because of our inability to travel to it, now or ever...

Could it also not just mean that Christ has gone to prepare a place for us to dwell in his fathers house--just as he promised? Why make something more complicated than it needs to be...

It takes from the same story as the Greek story of the god (I think Prometheus) who was punished for giving men light by being forced to eternally push a rock up a hill, but every time he got close to the top it came crashing down again. There is more in these stories than most can ever imagine.

His name was Sissyphus

I'm sure most people on here would agree with me. You are a buffoon.

...you know what's even more insulting...is the comment in your avatar...I f__king hate you? That's not insulting? God you're dumb.

In other words, you're a decent person as long as people stroke your ego. There's a name for people like that.

Usually, "fuck" is not what the followers of Christ consider nice language and yet you want to discuss the existence of God....please explain that in a non-tongue and cheek fashion.
