Actually Wilson and British Religious nuts who though that God is a slacker are responsible for the Balfour Declaration. These people thought that God was falling down on the job so they lobbied Lord Balfour to write his ridiculous declaration in an attempt (according to what THEY said) to hurry up the second coming of Christ. The problem came about when the British were unable to keep the Declaration under wraps and I think that Truman liked the idea of sending our Jews to Palestine. When Ike forced the Frogs, the Limes, and the Hebrews to get out of the Suez Canal Zone in 1956 Jews in protest turned to the Democrat Party.
