Before 193os the people worked or starved.
That's why my grandfather became a barber.

It appears to me that if you work you don't make much money. I am not rich but, I recall sending $35,000 to the IRS and the state of calif. more than once. I hate you ane everyone like you who want to take money from productive people and redistribute it to non productive people. Our society if destined to fail if this action continues. Before 193os the people worked or starved. But, that is a misnomer because nobody starved. That policy is carried by Japan today and it's economy, although based upon ours is kicking our azzes. It's because of our socialist policies. I hate Communists of which liberal progressives are an arm.

How about those of us who worked for a living, and are now retired for a living? Maybe I can get part of the money back that the government has extorted from 40 plus years worth of paydays. I do not think I have ever even gotten a refund. I have had to pay extra more than once.
I figured it out banjojack! The Liberals are just "Brainwashed"
the certified fix for that is just a simple emema!

It appears you have proven yourself wrong again . As a retired superintendent I have a great retirement and was very well compensated and respected for my work .... I stand behind the wisdom of the Simpson / Bowles Plan that reduces tax RATES .

Another over compensated government employee retired. I would say that you are now an over compensated government retiree. It's easy to see why you are confused. I was a business owner. A slave. I am not well rewarded like you. But, I have regrets but, I am not depressed. I congrat you on your status. However, I will pray that you get unconfused shortly for you could be a potentially good member of our team.

You're batting a thousand . Wrong again . Private contractor and PRIVATE Union .. We paid for all we get by the hour and it has been well managed . Some city pensions are at 46 % . States at 75 % . Ours is still 112 % . I was lucky , I had a great boss for 23 years of it and a lot of opportunity . Regrets ? Yea , but not work related . Graduated from college and went to work building roads and airports .
It's the " team " I don't trust . The tax loopholes and billions to donors . I'm hoping they both are ripe for a third party Independent takeover ... We the people should demand Simpson / Bowles be enacted and reinstate the Glass / Steagal Act .

Billhuggins: Dont you find it amazing how one in a better state of being looks through rose - colored glasses and in his confused mind can even think a program like Simpson/Bowles will ever be excepted by the elitest in Washington. Truth be known Simpson and Bowles where part of the problem! Career politicians now enjoying trememdous retirement packages off the backs of hardworking wage earners and private business owners. I would love the results of Simpson/Bowles plan, if implemented, but the electorate will never except the pain of it! America will not except the fact that the Boat is now too far down river and we may not be able to turn it around. I personally will except the hardships that must be carried out to correct the problems - but a lot of ponzi boys had better go to jail in the process. Many of those Bastards in the Senate robbed my Mothers pension plan during the Lincoln Savings and Loan debacle in the late 70s and early 80s. Not one of them went to jail! Why is it when they say -we have a great deal for you - It always cost more money than originally planned? Term limits my friend across the board including the Supreme Political Court!
The American Electorate deserves what it gets for the fact we let too many Americans who have no skin in the game vote! Our Founding Fathers warned us of this situation on the onset! You must have Capital Interest in order to vote in this country! Useful idiots wanting someone to take care of them have now robbed the National Treasury and now the Socialist stay in power!
My little Castle is in good fiscal shape but I might need to Lock & Load to keep it?
Always run toward the fire!
Hey guys, what do you have against Simpson/Bowles idea? It's as conservative and simple and realistic as anything out there. Why do you people just automatically carry on and rant at anything that you somehow think is liberal or establishment or somehow not Tea Party? You are simply ridiculous.

Well Sir: You are a better man than I thought. And that's nice to note. But, I still think you need to undergo electric shock therapy. Perhaps we could administer that here with our shocking talking points.

Congress can do all the deficit spending necessary until harmful inflation appears to be a threat. We are nowhere near harmful inflation. The problem is lack of federal deficit spending on infrastructure that would add to national savings and end the recession

Bullhuggins: If we Water Boarded him -we could verifly he was brainwashed! Then we can give him an enema to cure his ailement ! I've already dropped him on his head and moved on to more productive posts!
Every spent federal dollar not repossessed by the IRS is saved by the private sector. Our annual budget deficit is exactly equal to the annual increase in private sector savings. YES! DEFICITS = SAVINGS! No deficits, no savings! A tax deficit is a savings surplus. It is money left on the table for the savers by Uncle Sam because he didnt need it to prevent harmful inflation and because consumers need it to consume. We do not have a national debt. We have a national savings. The bad Debt Clock is really the good Savings Clock. How can we have too much savings?
Bowles-Simpson (BS) would reduce the deficit, the amount of money that Uncle Sam (US) leaves on the table because inflation is nowhere in sight and consumers need savings.
US has to spend a LOT of money on bridges or else we will need amphibian vehicles and Detroit is not up to that job.
