i see a person named Dawkins and others on this site that seems to make fun of, or at least insinuate that people that does not believe in evolution
as really stupid or maybe just plain dumb. Could be. It appears that Mr. Dawkins and these people are somewhat intelligent, so i have a few questions that have puzzled me for sometime.
.

If you believe in evolution, then we are here by accident, it looks like that the only way we could be here is by accident or on purpose.
So if not by accident, who's purpose. So please, Mr. Dawkins, tell us how many accidents (mutations)did it take to get from a single cell
"something" to a human being, and please include the number of mutations that was bad. Some say as many as 99% of mutations are bad, like maybe 3 legs, 1 arm, 12 toes, etc. Also tell us how often these mutations took place. The odds of all the right amino acids getting together at the exact right time and then to get a kick starter at that time.

take for instance the alaskan ptarmigan, turns white in winter, camo brown in summer, how many colors and at what times did it take for this bird to get the right mutation.
oh, i know, i here it all the time," mother nature has taken care of this". I would like to meet this mother nature that is so smart and has the power to do all these things.I thought nature was just a mixture of all living things, trees, grass, birds, fish, etc.
If mother nature takes care to see that her creatures have what they need to survive, just how does she do it?
Does the trees, grass, animals, fish, etc have a conference call to decide who gets what or what something might need.
I have lived in the country or very small town(600 pop) all my life. Have worked on farms, been a honey bee keeper, had livestock, hunted and
fished and have yet to meet this "mother nature" face to face.

If the left,,,, and I use you dummy as a poster boy of leftist ideology/stupidity,,, (since you chose the name)... finds a single cell on Mars,,,, automatically "There is life on mars,,,, God Disproved"

But if a clump of those cells,,, are found living in a human female uterus,,,,"It is just a blob of primoridal slime,,,, get rid of it,, it isnt life"

Then,,,, these same geniuses,,,, begin "mapping the human genome".... claiming that if they "can create life,,,,, then God is disproven"..... yet if these mental midgits,,,,, can create life,,,,, then did they not just prove intelligent design,,,,,,
'
God is just a name we gave someone,,,, call him ralph if you care to,,,, but it doesnt negate his creation.... and if two-toed sloths of "modern science" can make life,,,, why is is such a leap to a creator???

My "mother nature" is called "God and His son Jesus" and you can meet them face to face by reading the Bible and through prayer.

John 1King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

I have wondered if the Sam Dawkins who posts here is related to Christopher Dawkins the anti God atheist "philosopher" or did the Sam person just take the name Dawkins because he believes the same way?

Sweetlips:

Exactly what, then, is your contention? If you are a Christian, and follow the bible as the word of God, then you believe (or should) the world is about 6,000 years old. It was created in six days, and the first two humans were Adam and Eve. If you're Hindu, you think the world is billions of years old and things go in cycles. Also, time will end in about 400,000 years.
Muslims aren't too sure about the Earth's age. That's Allah's business. Buddhists think it has been around forever. Aristotle thought the same.

Mr. Dawkins thinks differently. You ask numerous questions about why evolution takes strange turns, like the changing of a birds plumage. Richard doesn't claim to have all of the answers, he just doesn't think it was done by magic. He doesn't think Vishnu or Allah or Rah or Buddha or God got it in their head one day that they were lonely and wanted company and just started making stuff and people. This also begs the question, who made God or Allah or Vishnu?

It would be comforting to think that upon my demise, I would be sitting on puffy clouds with 72 Virginians (I would like to talk to Jefferson though) or is that virgins? I don't think this God everyone talks about would sentence anyone to eternal burning agony for being unfaithful to their wife of taking his name in vain. If you are a devout Christian, you do. I am not good because of the threat of this unending torment. I don't initiate force on others because I know how I react when others initiate force on me and I wouldn't want that to happen to me. Maybe you need hell to be good, I don't.

Do I think the evolutionary theory has merit? Evidence points that way. Do I think the 'Big Bang' happened? I don't know, but something happened to make all matter disperse somewhat symmetrically from a central location. Do I think there are ghosts, UFO's, and Yetis? I have seen no convincing evidence. I'm going with 'no'.

I don't know what makes me appreciate a sunrise or a rainbow or The Rolling Stones. How did evolution lead me to this? I don't know. Neither does Richard Dawkins. We just don't think it was magic.

Where the hell do you get that 6000 year crap,,,, thats not in my bible???

Eternal burning agony isnt "punishment from god",,, it is what you choose,,,,

Magic,,, is your description,,,, not what was described,,,, even flight was considered magic,,,, until we discovered how to do it....

The rest of what you write,,, is just belittling of others beliefs,,,, BELIEFS,,,,, they have never,,, at least in my world,,, claimed they knew "everything"....

Your contention,,, that because christians dont know everything therefore their beliefs are false and of course hateful,,,, isnt valid.... a belief system does not require proof,,, now your idea that your beliefs are based on science,,,,, actually requires the same suspension of facts..... since there isnt a single thing you can actully prove validating the THEORY of evolution.....

Still,,, I believe that some evolution likely occurred,,,,, I dont believe in origin of species,,,, chemically that cannot happen,,, and that is what sweetlips said......
