Stopping the gossip...
Mildred, the town gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the town's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business.
Many residents did not approve of her extra-curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.
She made a mistake, however, when she accused Micheal, a new guy in town, of being an alcoholic after she saw his classic Cadillac parked in front of the the town's only bar one weekday afternoon.
She emphatically told Micheal (and several others) that anyone & everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing!
Micheal, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away.
He didn't explain, defend, or deny. He said nothing.
Later that evening, Micheal quietly parked his Cadillac in front of Mildred's house, walked home...and left it there all night :!:
You got'ta love guys like Micheal :!:

Who is Frank? And what does he have to do with the story, other than parking his car in front of Mildred's house? Why didn't Micheal park his car there?

You have a keen eye, P-B. I inadvertently wrote in the wrong name at the end. It has been corrected. Frank was the original name in the story, but I took literary license in replacing the name for personal reasons.

Frank was the guy screwing Mildred, while Michael figured out what he was going to do. The fact that they both drove Cadillac's was a coinkydink.

Yeah, Popeye was my hero. I still eat spinach, but it hasn't worked for me so far - but I hold out hope.
PS. I cook regularly with Olive OIL, but please don't tell Popeye.
