Someone on here recently said to me that he's an atheist because God just doesn't make any sense. Specifically, he stated that he cannot understand why an all knowing God would create humans, knowing that many of them would go to Hell. This is a very good question. I believe that I've found an excellent explanation. Take a look at this and tell me what you think. Please do not reply unless you have read the entire article. It's not THAT long.

The problem is, there are many religions that do not even believe that there is a hell....but they believe in God....so, what about them ?.....what about the Budhist monk that does no harm to anyone but chooses Budhism over Christianity....does he go to hell ?....you seem to only be specifically referencing one religion

My post is related to Christianity and the problem many atheists have with it. My arguments are about Christianity only. My arguments are supported by what the Bible says about the nature of God. Nothing else. It is not a discussion about whether or not God exist. It is about how the Bible, Gods own word, describes Him and why he created us. Let's not wonder off topic.

Also, since you are asking questions that were covered in the article I posted, it is obvious that you did not read it. I expected nothing else. If you care to read it and comment on the actual content of said article, I would be happy to discuss it.

I read the article...atheists don't have a " problem" with Christianity....they don't believe in God ....duh !......just because you have an invisible friend in the sky, doesn't prove anything...it is irrational and delusional...you can quote the bible all day long...that means nothing.....and the fact that you believe that the majority of the people of the world will consistently go to hell is an awful belief...innocent people, probably family members, that will go to hell for eternity, all because they disagree with you....what a silly belief system

I believe in God, just not the God of Abraham. I think the problem atheists and others have with Christianity lies with the theory that it is the only true religion. To me, it is a foreign religion, has nothing to do with me. I do not believe there is a heaven or a hell. If that is your belief than are you worshiping your God out of love or fear?

If a person does not believe in the Christian God then the Bible is not a viable resource. If a person does not believe in any God, then no holy book matters. I believe man judges much more harshly than God but then God knows the heart of a person.

However, this post is about what the Bible says about God. In my OP I stated that another atheist had a problem believing in God because of the topic discussed in the article I posted. Let's not make this about comparative religion, or whether or not there is a God. How about just discussing the topic at hand? If you can't do that, then please just shut your yap.

It was not an insult. It was a statement of fact, based on previous dealings with you. If you had read the article, why didn't you comment on it? To say that you behaved as expected is not an insult.
