Less than six hours after the mass shooting today in Roseburg, Ore., President Obama called a press conference to demand new gun laws, a move he predicted would spur critics to accuse him of politicizing the issue. If they don’t accuse him of that, they might accuse him of making the tragedy about himself.

During today’s 12-minute address, President Obama referred to himself 28 times. (For those counting at home, that's almost three times per minute.)

Does this sound like many of the liberal mouths on here and elsewhere?

This whole thing hits close to home. Rose burg is an hour and a half drive from here. Strict background checks that are enforced I can go along with. The more of these incedents I see tells me there is a people problem. There are almost never warning signs but if the mentally sick are in a data base some of these shootings might be avoided. There is no easy answer but it seems to me that better background checks would help. Normal people do not commit these acts.

President Obama immediately took this opportunity to politicize this crime. He blamed right away the guns. The fact is there are no guns used by law abiding citizens that killed other people.

Law abiding citizens keep guns because of the following:
1. Increase in terrorism to protect them and their families.

2.Increase in thugs and drug addicts who rob and kill innocent victims, young and old.

3. Increase in illegal aliens who have victimized innocent
American people, male, female, young, and old.

4. Increase in illegal immigration who came to demand for their free bees from Obama.

5. Increase of Muslims brought by Obama, who have no other goals but to invade, and take away this country for their god Allah as commanded by the Koran. Most of the Muslim refugees are from 20 to 45 years old, indicating the fighting Muslim forces.

6. The imminent danger of president Obama's imposing martial law, in the guise of law and order, in order to perpetuate his power, and to disarm the American people so that they have no means to fight back.
7. Increase of violent minds of young men due to decline of morality. The Democrats allow marijuana use by allowing people to plant and sell the products to men and women who become addicted and increase to heavy drug use, then they become violent criminals robbing people, and commit burglaries and thieveries to sustain their addiction.

Liberals and democrats elected officials who support and nourish these drug dupers for raising money.
