What can We The People do to take back our Republic?

I am talking about suggestions that we can form a grassroots movement (and a superpack?), a means to take action, to stop our downward spiral as a nation now ruled from the top down instead of from the bottom up, as established. We are without representation.

Though I am strongly against any talk of secession, of biting off our nose to spite our face, I very well understand the sentiment. Yet such a move would be totally ruinous for the US as well as any gains we may be deluded into thinking we could achieve. Sheer madness and to me, un-patriotic.

If we sincerely love this "great experiment" called the UNITED STATES of America, we will leave the insults and name calling at the door for a higher purpose: these things are only acting to keep we the people impotent in making the needed changes. I am not saying give up your Left or Right leaning principles and values; I am asking that we act as we the people to resolve this present lack of power all in the states--the UNITED STATES--are experiencing.

WTP (We The People) party to go to any political function and voceferiously demand a change to how Congress works. This bicarmel charade is killing us. Lobbies control this country, and both sides are in their pocket.

"Stop Watch" is another idea I feel both sides can come together: end domestic spying. This call can also mean the clock is ticking for any politician who will not fight for this goal.

Anyway, I present this as a forum for positive ways we the people can take action and change things.

"We" are always complaining about the office holders not doing anything except bickering and fighting. But let us look at ourselves.

There are things you will not give up or compromise on and the same goes for me. So if "we the people" can not come together and do what is right, (what I think is right that is) then how can we expect our elected officials.

I do not consider myself to be a defeatist, but rather a realist. At this point, I do not see a happy ending to 'the Great Experiment'. I have heard a lot of grumbling from a lot of sources but no real plan for a cohesive effective response to the decline of our nation. In fact, I believe it is well past the tipping point where that is even possible and we are now experiencing the painful convulsions of our own death throes as a Republic. As for a positive solution, I have seen a very large increase in the number of small groups and individuals who are planning to sit on the sidelines as the more dramatic convulsions occur. There could well be wisdom in that. Those crazy Preppers are individual by nature and have taken decisive action to control their own destiny. I see that as both American and Patriotic. Agree of not, they will be in a position to respond to any martial law/Government takeover that results in open revolt, an inevitable painful convulsion. The initial battle of any such revolt would be lost by We the People but in the long run, no occupying force has ever succeeded in controlling an unwilling populace. The Preppers would be in a position to come together and take back the country when it becomes inescapably obvious to the general public that a takeover has, indeed, occurred. Actually, this might be part of a normal cycle that our Founding Fathers went through, as well. They wrote several explicit warnings in the Federalist Papers and into the Constitution itself regarding exactly the situation in which we now find ourselves. We ignored their warnings and might now be doomed to repeat their solution. I suspect any Constitution we would then write will look a lot like the one they wrote but with stricter controls on lobbying, banking, and who exactly we allow to be elected. Interesting times.

First he/she has to have money to even run. I hate to say this but can we find a person of the people and for the people and has money to run?

How do we find good people who will not be corrupted and who wants to work for the people and the betterment of the country and is not black( OK that was a joke) Believe it or not under those two conditions it's a hard person to find and than they have to want to run, and be good at it?

The way everyone is feeling of late, we want to replace everyone in all branches, literally clean house. But after we do all that, what will we do with all the wonderful lobbyist, otherwise we'll just collapse into the same sink hole.

While I can't agree with everything you say, the problem with independence minded people tends to be not being able to accept interference. We all want to fix things without hanging out in tearooms. The elephant in the room is, "while we don't like each other, we respect each other. So if a a "Leave me the F alone" party forms, I suppose, most of us would be on board.

Get this book and read it. The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic. If it does nothing else, it will inspire you. Mark Levin's proposal is a powerful constitutional approach to saving our nation. And, he is the first to admit just how formidable this project is.

Get permits for demonstrations. or protests, in Washington D.C., right outside the WH, or not far from it. Then Go There, with you signs and statement shirts, and Demonstrate your disapproval!! This is how the people Speak, and when things change. March down a street showing your public dissentions. This is how it happens, and when the people come together for One Cause. Then VOTE! Tell me another way that has worked, all through History.

This may be corny but, Rome wasn't built in a day and taking this country back won't happen in a day either. I will take time.

We're not going to reverse the course our nation has been on for a hundred years in one freaking day.

Not talking about change in a day, talking about taking action today. First step is what? I say WTP protests at every event. "Stop watch" and end Bicarmeal system protests.
